I workout at 24Hour Fitness! And the y play the worst music in the world to lift too!

I was wondering what you listen to in the gym, either on your walkman or over the gym stereo!

What music "bands" "songs" motivate you for a great workout?

sometimes i listen to black sabbath ,ozzy ,rage ,pantara, metallica that type of stuff ..or some rap ..tu pac ,biggie ,nelly ,backstreet boys ...lol ok not back street boys but u get the idea ...

every gym i have been to the music has been so lame. it doesnt in any way pump you up. i guess they can tplease all the dfferent kinds in a gym. i dunno. if i had a gym the music would be good. not r and b. i like some r and b, but not while im working out.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Disturbed, Pantera, Korn, Marilyn Manson <-(killer for cardio), Jackyl, and Rage Against the Machine.

Gym music sucks! I use my headphones and listen to System of a Down, Slipknot, Distubd, and just a bunch of loud sh!t that gets me going.

My gym actually has pretty good lifting music. They have satellite radio and usually have it on one of the metal stations. Sucks when it rains hard though.

A lot of times I'll put one song on repeat for my entire workout. I currently have stuff like Bodies by Drowning Pool, Without Me by Eminem, and a few other things.

Get this my workout room at my apartments that I use is set on like an oldies station!! Totally suks....especially between 9-11pm is like old love songs for this time period & that's when I work out!! I'm pumped

damn bj, that sucks. I think I would have to drop a dumbbell on head, it would be less painful than oldies. lol

Can you say headphones?

My old gym was great. The owner was a bouncer and allways played tapes from the club he worked at. It's really great for workin out. That music just gives tons of energy. This may sound silly, but if I were to choose between pounding dance music and ECA, I'd go for the music.

I don't think the music I listen to is known in the US however. I(m kinda curious though!!! Do you guys know people like Judge Jules, DJ Tiesto, Mauro Picotto, Push, Sven Vath and the likes over there?

Damn, Kossdh posting when drunk again. LOL

Got a small MP3 player that holds about 16 songs at 192 MHz. Listen to mostly stullf like Ozzy, Papa Roach, Rob Zombie, POD but every once in a great while, load your player up with shit from the Rocky movies and see what happens.

I guess I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Weird Al is great to listen to, especially some of his non-parody stuff, like Albuquerque, or Traffic Jam. Or any of the upbeat parodies.

My plays crap over the speakers, but they had a boom box in the free weight area that people could turn to whatever station they wanted. There were a lot of differing opinions on what should be played there... to the point that someone actually got into a fight. Needless to say, that went away quickly, and they started piping in the crap. Glad I bring my mp3 player.
