APPLE CINNAMON HIGH PROTEIN MUFFINS

muffin-300x200.jpg

These apple cinnamon high protein muffins are fantastic, they are perfect as an afternoon tea time treat or for breakfast. They are packed full of protein and carbs and just a little over 10 grams of fat.

This is another brilliant bodybuilding recipe that comes from Dave Ruel’s, Anabolic Cookbook.

What makes them great is that they are perfect as a year-round breakfast treat. In bodybuilding it can be quite boring when having the same breakfast over and over again, but having these apple cinnamon high protein muffins lets you round up your breakfast with something that is sweet and tasty. Not only that, it also has the macros to match as well.

Makes 1 Serving (around 3 Muffins)
Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups of Oatmeal
  • 1/4 of Oat Bran

  • 1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
* use whichever baking apple you prefer. I personally like to use Braeburn apples in these muffins.
Directions

  1. In a blender, mix all of the ingredients apart from the diced apple, blend until you get a thick mixture
  2. Then, add the diced apple to the mixture and stir it with a spoon or spatula.
  3. Pour the mix in a muffin cooking pan, cook at 350 degrees F until its cooked (usually 30 minutes)
