Press, I told you to lower your weekly dosage of "E"...lol

In all honesty, I have the same problem. Ever since I have been little, people have been saying the I grind my teeth in my sleep. Now all my girlfriends that I have slept with say the same damn thing. My dentist has never said anything about it though, so it looks like you worse off than me...lol Did he say what causes this, or what could prevent it, besides wearing a damn mouthguard...that might freak my girl out when I jump into bed.

Yes, it's a normal occurance everytime I eat something tough. It hurts so bad, I have to stop and think if I really want to finish eating or not.

can you say Liquid Relaxation!!! I usually take some ibuprofen or something to calm me down, so it may help.

I get that shit all of the time. It's definitely TMJ. It's from clenching and grinding your teeth all day and night long. Taking some anti-inflamatory such as ibuprofen helps. Be aware of when you're doing it too so that you can try to prevent it. Also a dentist or doctor might give you a mouth piece to wear at night if it's really bad.

TMJ is an anatomic location not a disease, ie. temporomandibular joint. What press is got going on is not exactly the same as what the rest of you guys are talking about. Whats going on it #1- you grind your teeth, most people do it because its a stress related issue, some do it because something in their bite is off, (bad fitting posterior teeth, or fillings/dental work), and some do it because there is an anatomic problem with their joint (the tmj). What you describe presser is bruxism, you grind your teeth, it worsens at some times and may even cause a build up of pressure in your joint (TMJ). Just like your knees or shoulder may do. I know you are only on creatine and totally natural, but juice will effect the masseter and digastric muscle the same as any other muscle. Your chewing muscles will grow and strengthen and your swallowing muscles may even do the same. Thus the soreness and splinting just likeyou would get from your pec, ham or any other mm which may cramp.
Your treatment: get the shitty night guard to protect your teeth and joint from further damage. You grind them long enough andyou'll have a nice 20-40k bill for a full mouth reconstruction. Also, you may wear out your disc in the tmj from prolonged contraction and over exertion at the TMJ (severe clenching for prolonged periods). Also, for some people (the anatomic defect people), the nightguard/ bruxism splint/ occlusal guard (whatever you want to call it) just wearing at night, stretches the muscles of mastication (masseter and medial pterygoid) thereby relaxing them and decreasing the clenching activity. The lateral pterygoid will also stop trying to fight the much larger masster and med pty and so you stop getting bad headaches from all this if you already have them.
this is getting too long. just get a splint and get your bite checked out in case there is a high filling or crown that just may need some adjustment,

Here's an actual report on AAS effects on Jaw muscles, this guy chewed just on one side and enlarged just one side of his face!

Masseteric hypertrophy associated with administration of anabolic steroids and unilateral mastication: a case report.
Oral Surg Oral Med Oral Pathol Oral Radiol Endod 2001 Nov;92(5):515-8 (ISSN: 1079-2104)
Skoura C; Mourouzis C; Saranteas T; Chatzigianni E; Tesseromatis C
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, General District Hospital of Athens KAT, Greece.
In this report we present a patient with unilateral masseteric hypertrophy who used anabolic steroids and was chewing entirely unilaterally for 1 month. Computed tomography and histologic examination were used to confirm the diagnosis. The combined action of unilateral mastication and anabolic steroid use is probably responsible for the rapid development of unilateral masseteric hypertrophy.
