Diet plan

I hate the term diet but a female trainer and I were talking last week about a way of dieting that  supposedly promotes total digestion.
The bottom line of the eating plan is to separate protein and carbs by 2 hrs not necessarily counting the grams.  Proteins are digested in the stomach while carbs in the intestines and eating them at the same time causes stomach ache and indigestion.
Anyone else heard or tried this?  I don't know how true it all is but like I told her, I workout so I can eat whatever whenever I want.

I have heard of this before, but I don't know how true it is.  I have never tried it myself.   But I don't have trouble with indigestion,  so I really didn't really pay too much attention.  I like your response to her though..lol

This is true, I have been eating like this for awhile now and feel much better. I don't have that full feeling when I combine my foods like that. Suzanne Sommers has great books about this type of eating. I lost 12pds in three months eating like this. Don't mix carbs, with proteins <!--emo&--><img src="http://musclechemistry.mantisforums.com/IB3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''><!--endemo-->

Don Lemmon has been selling that type of diet for years now ... the whole Nutrition Know-How thing ...

It does work, but so do alot of other ways of eating. Just another way to manipulate carb levels.

I have been eating like this for 6 months now, not only do I feel better but have lost 35 lbs. I only eat whole wheat carbs, no white carbs of any kind, or sugar. I feel so much better. Suzanne Somers this is her way of eating for years now. Read some of her books they are great
