2022 NY Pro Judging ‘B’ Report

The second and final half of the 2022 NY Pro judging is in the books.
In Open Bodybuilding, it’s a lock for The Boogieman, Blessing Awodibu, to score a back-to-back win with Indy Pro and now New York. He came in full and tight, with his trademark X-frame and bursting with confidence. I would give Italy’s Andrea Presti a solid second place. The man is wide and thick yet with a small waist, and brought grainy conditioning. Third place will likely go to Maxx Charles, but I have him fighting it out closely with Theo Leguerrier from France. Theo has plenty of size and sports a balanced physique that flows well. As for fifth, Justin Rodriguez will likely snag that spot although I’d make a case for 23-year-old Emir Omeragic. The kid is sliced and diced with nice shape, though he lacks Justin’s mass. In time I see Emir moving up the ranks.
The Figure title is between Mexico’s Jossie Nathali Alarcon Becerra and Tereza Linhartova from the Czech Republic.

Women’s Bodybuilding is also in question. Indiana’s Stephanie Flesher looks great, but I feel her look is closer to the standards of Women’s Physique. If you prefer more of a densely muscled and vascular look, with some of the craziest shoulder caps I’ve seen in a while, Kentucky’s Donna Salib is your woman.
And finally, it was a truly star-studded Bikini lineup that featured several past Olympia champions. My pick for the win is recent Arnold Classic champ Lauralie Chapados, though I wouldn’t be shocked if it goes to 2020 Bikini Olympia winner Janet Layug. 2019 Bikini Olympia champ Elisa Pecini is also stunning. Rounding out this gorgeous Bikini top 5 are India Paulino and former Figure Olympia winner Erin Stern.
