Episode 38 of The Mike O’Hearn Show was published on Generation Iron‘s YouTube channel on March 24, 2023. It featured the show’s namesake in conversation with mass monster bodybuilder Craig “Goliath” Golias, who stands six feet, three inches, and weighs 340 pounds.
When O’Hearn opened the discussion with “what’s your body part,” implying what Golias’ believes is the best attribute of his physique, “Goliath” said his lats. It tee’d up their scheduling of a back training session together in Las Vegas, NV, in the future and set the tone for their discussion about training and nutrition. Check it out in the video below:

Golias didn’t start his fitness journey until he was 20 years old. At the time of their conversation, Golias expressed that he was currently “natty,” meaning that he is not on a steroid cycle, except he still takes testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).
Some of the side effects of coming off a steroid cycle without using TRT had previously plagued Golias. He mentioned that at that time, he didn’t want to train, his sex drive plummeted, and he even lost his taste for a short period.
Deception of Height & Maintaining the X-Frame
O’Hearn and Golias are the same height, and both men recognize that when people see them in person, they appear even larger than they do in their photos on Instagram — which already displays them as gigantic figures.
There are barely any bodybuilders at that height; it doesn’t really exist. Most bodybuilders are 5’6 to 5’10.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic locked down the USA, the 39-year-old Golias reached his peak weight of nearly 360 pounds.
I was so big, it was uncomfortable, but people freaked out; they loved seeing it.
The component that guides Golias’ choices to put on or lose size is maintaining a tight waist. The V-tapered look is what Golias feels “is bodybuilding.” Anyone who commits hard enough can pack on mass with a gut. Supporting mass while maintaining an aesthetic look is the balance Golias aims for.
I want to keep that X-frame. You will always see me keep my waist in check.

Although Golias cycles through steroid usage, depending on his goals, he consistently follows the guidance of professionals to help him when taking them. O’Hearn applauded the commitment to receiving the help of professionals to ensure that Golias’ blood levels are properly maintained and that his health is not compromised.
