Clenbuterol is a sympathomimetic drug which is widely used in many countries for the treatments of asthma, cardiovascular shock, hypertension and more. Clenbuterol is commonly known as "Clen" and is often created in 20mcg (0.02mg) tablets, although other administrative forms are available such as injectables and liquids. Of main interest to athletes is Clenbuterol's thermogenic ability, in other words, its ability to slightly raise the core temperature of the body, resulting in greater calorie outlay.
There is a risk when stacking Clenbuterol (combining with other drugs or substances) due to the possible cumulative result from two or more substances that stimulate the adrenergic beta 2 receptors. The resulting side effects are dependant on the dosages used, and therefore it would be unwise to use Clenbuterol with Ephedrine. Ephedrine is often used during the time periods when the user ceases to take Clenbuterol to allow for the up-regulation of the beta 2 receptors, which the Ephedrine will still allow due to its weaker ability to down-regulation the receptors compared to the stronger Clenbuterol. Ephedrine also has a quicker half life which allows for some period of time for the receptors to recover.
Clenbuterol has possible side effects, including; tremors and cramps, nausea, anxiety, sweating, headaches and increased appetite. Clenbuterol may possibly be able to lead to cardiac hypertrophy and also hypertension, so anybody with any heart issues would be wise to avoid a stimulant such as Clenbuterol. Muscular cramping can be aided by the supplement of Taurine at 5 grams per day, drinking plenty of fluids to ensure you are hydrated, and also by eating plenty of bananas.
Clenbuterol causes quick down-regulation of the beta 2 receptors and therefore breaks need to be taken from its usage to allow the receptors to recover. A two week on/off cycle regime often provide fruitful results, allowing sufficient time for receptor recovery in the two weeks off the Clenbuterol. A tapering (or pyramiding) of dosage is common at the start of a Clenbuterol cycle, with 20mcg taken on the first day, followed by a further 20mcg each day on the following days until a maximum dose of 140mcg is reached daily if side effects are tolerable (day 1 - 20mcg, day 2 - 40mcg, day 3 - 60mcg and so on...). Side effects often decrease with greater use of Clenbuterol, but by tapering up the dose we allow for the side effects to be constricted. We would run the final dosage until a total of two weeks has past since the start of the Clenbuterol cycle, and at this point we would just cease use of the Clenbuterol. The second cycle of Clenbuterol will start again after two weeks. Knowing your tolerance level we can now start the cycle again using 40-60mcg under that level, and building back up to the maximum dosage which we will run for the remaining two weeks. This two weeks on/off will often be continued for a maximum of 12-14 weeks.

Clenbuterol is also said to have anti-catabolic abilities, and is often taken at low dosages (20-40mcg) during PCT to decrease possible muscle loss.

Would or has anyone actually taken clenbuterol during PCT. I would think that clen is a bad idea to use post steroid cycle.
 
[h=1]Clenbuterol Cycle[/h]There are many ways to plan a Clenbuterol cycle with three being the far most common with two being the most effective; yes, of these two there is one that is truly best. For a Clenbuterol cycle the options will generally be, 2 days on/2 days off, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off and continuous use with incrementing dosing throughout. We will discuss all three methods and in the end you can choose which is best for you but understand, regardless of what you decide there can only be one king; meaning only one method is truly 100% efficient.

[h=3]Bursting Clenbuterol Cycle:[/h]The 2 day on/2 day off method we may aptly call a bursting Clenbuterol cycle as that is exactly what the individual is doing by way of this method. The idea is simple; blast for 2 days with a relatively high dose and follow with nothing for 2 days and then repeat. Such use is often used for extended periods of time, even months and of the three methods we find this to be by far the most ineffective and strenuous to the body. Such a method causes a lot of undue stress and a lot of up and down activity within the body. Further, this method does not make full use of the fat-burning potential of this Beta-2 stimulator. By and large of the various forms this particular Clenbuterol cycle while it will provide results is our least favorite.
[h=3]The Most Common Clenbuterol Cycle:[/h]For years the 2 week on/2 week off Clenbuterol cycle has been the most popular among performance enhancers largely thanks to internet message boards. This is a very effective means of supplementing with this medication for fat-burning, far more so than the bursting method discussed above. Generally speaking this type of Clenbuterol cycle is very simple and begins with a low dose normally in the 20mcg-40mcg range. The individual will increase the dose every day or two until he reaches the maximum desired dose that normally falls in the 100mcg-140mcg range and then discontinue use at the 2 week mark. At this point 2 more weeks will follow with no Clenbuterol in the system and at the end of this break use will begin again, normally at the ending dose of the last run; for example, if the first 2 weeks ended with 100mcg the next course of use will begin at 100mcg. Normally the individual will hold at this dose and continue with the 2 week on/2 week off method starting with the maximum desired dose each 2 week on period after the initial 2 week period.
[h=3]Incrementing Clenbuterol Cycle:[/h]While not as popular as the 2 week on/2 week off method the incrementing Clenbuterol cycle has been fast gaining popularity over recent years and for good reason; it makes the most sense and is by far the most efficient as well as effective. The plan is very simple; starting at a low dose, generally in the 20mcg-40mcg range the individual will increase the dose 20mcg every 2-3 weeks as needed. This method allows for Clenbuterol to be used for the full extent of the diet thereby keeping the metabolism revved up through the course of the total duration.
[h=3]The Common Concern:[/h]The reason many opt for the 2 week on/2 week off Clenbuterol cycle is simple; the body adapts to the medication and by taking a break from use you are able to maintain a positive metabolic output each and every time use begins. However, this method has a problem, for when use is discontinued the metabolism slows down due to the absence of the fat-burner that heats up your body temperature; without its presence the body temperature drops due to the mitochondria now producing less heat and the metabolism slows down. Through the incremental Clenbuterol cycle this is not a problem because the medication remains in the system through the duration of the dieting phase; but what about your bodys adaptation? By slowly and steadily incrementing the dose upwards every 2-3 weeks you do not allow your body to become accustomed; it is true, the jittery feeling often associated with this bronchodilator may be less but jittery or not has nothing to do with the medication working.
 
If you use 80mcg a day of Clen, do you take the dose at once or can you take 40mcg in the morning and 40mcg at noon ?
