Laredo's six bodybuilders that competed at the NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships in Las Vegas this weekend came home with a top-10 finish among some of the best athletes in the United States. While none of the six picked up that elusive IFBB pro-card, they each represented the Gateway City in a positive manner.
Jerry "Flex" Aguilar recorded Laredo's highest finish placing fourth in Classic Men's Physique Class A out of 65 competitors. Matthew Schmidt placed fifth in the heavyweight division.
Gabriela Cadena took sixth place in her first national competition in Class D figure.
Laredo was well represented in the bikini division with four competitors batting it out on the national stage. In the Class C division, Carolina Dominguez took eighth place in her first national competition in Las Vegas. Cassandra Rosas placed ninth after getting a first call out in the competition. Alexis Villa placed seventh in the Class E while Tania Plasencia placed ninth to round out the Laredo athletes at the competition.
