Buffalo Bacon Burger

Serves: 3

Ingredients

3 slices turkey bacon, cut up into 2 inch pieces
1 1/2 lbs ground buffalo
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1.5 teaspoons low sodium worcestershire sauce
1.5 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 egg, beaten
1 small onion,sliced
3 whole wheat buns
3 oz fat free bleu cheese crumbles

Directions:

Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy and brown, drain grease and transfer bacon bits to a paper towel.
Saute garlic and onions in the pan you cooked the bacon in, but try and wipe out as much bacon grease as possible, also you can clean the pan after making the bacon and give it a shot of nonstick cooking spray to saute the onions and garlic - the spray being the lower fat choice.

Mix bacon, garlic, and onions in a bowl, let cool.
Once cool, mix the ground buffalo, worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, pepper, and egg, and bacon/onion/garlic mixture together.

Form 3 patties.
Grill, broil, or cook on stovetop until done. (I grilled mine)
Top with bleu cheese crumbles and let melt.

Serve on whole wheat buns.Had with a side of baked fries.
