N-coumaryoldopamine and N-caffeoyldopamine are 2 very interesting fat-burning compounds. They are both beta-2 agonists(like ephedrine and clenbuterol) and have been shown to dramatically increase production of cyclic AMP(cAMP). Their mechanism of action is very similar to clenbuterol, which many bodybuilders use during their precontest cycles. cAMP increases lypolysis, which is the break down of fat cells for energy. Beta-2 agonists also can raise your core body temperature by 0.5 degrees, which is enough to stimulate your CNS, and adrenoglands which increases your total metabolism. This small increase in temperature increases many processes which throw off heat as energy(this is known as thermogenesis). There are 2 downfalls when using these compounds. One seems to be the short active life. They are rapidly metabolized by COMT(catechol O-methyl transferase). This enzyme also breaks down dopamine and norepinephrine. Fortunately for you, EGCG in green tea is a known COMT inhibitor. If you're going to take these 2 compounds, I suggest taking green tea extract, as well for this very reason. The other is the hydrolysis of these compounds(broken down by water at specific places). Some research says very little of the active compound actually makes it to the beta-2 receptor, some research says other wise. One paper claims they dramatically increased cAMP, which can be a major benefit for fat loss. More research is needed but I think there can be promise for these 2 naturally-occurring fat burners.

What am I missing here, but why not just take good old ephedrine. Are these more heart heathly or have less sides?
