Started wearing this today, trainer ordered. I am to wear it 5 hours a day and once I start cardio wear it then as well. I have never worn a weight belt or anything like this. Started with the weight belt yesterday, ugh! She wants to keep my waist tiny and I know Coleman used to wear this when he did cardio. Have any of you ever worn these? I'll let you know how it works, already have a small waist but smaller is always better, makes you sweat, sweating while I am typing this.

OMFG, first thanks guys for coming over here to chat with me wore this today while doing yard work. Yup it is always fall here in FL, anyways raking 1/3 acre for 3 hours with that belt on almost killed me! I sweat a lot in general but damn this thing made me soooo hot. Yes it will make you sweat more around your belly, my trainer wants to keep my waist as tiny as possible hence me having to wear a damn weight belt at the gym. Did shoulders yesterday, db press with 85s almost blacked out, think the belt was too tight lol. Anyways I will let you all know how it works, anything to help keep the waist tiny is a plus in my book, it will take months of wearing to make a difference, it's gonna smell really good by then LOL. Also it does make you aware of your posture so that is a good thing.

So how does this work? Does it somehow prevent you from engaging your obliques so that your waist stays tiny or is it just removing subq fluid? I'm confused. I have s$#t posture so it's probably worth a try alone just for that. Just wondering what the reasoning is here and how it works. Anything I can do to trim down my waist I'm down.

My gf is trying this right now for the sole purpose of helping her posture. I have not worn it long enough yet to give it a review but I trust my trainer entirely and I do what I am told. You can still engage your muscles of course, but it definitely makes you aware of your abdominals. Here is the product description.
Product Description
LP Waist Trimmer The LP Waist Trimmer provides lower back support and abdominal lift. It is effective in toning and shaping waistline when worn during exercise and helps provide constant heat and moisture to lower back muscles. A full 1/8” thick neoprene (two sides are nylon). Universal sizing, height 7.5".
There are a lot of pros who use this during cardio so there has to be a reason for that. It does make you sweat more. Also having it on is a constant reminder to keep my stomach tight and it does feel good on my lower back. Plus it's cheap, little less than 15.00 with shipping from Amazon. I am wearing it 5 hours a day, but not while I sleep, I worry about my circulation.

I sit at a desk typing 8 hours a day so I find myself slouching a lot. That on top of weight training has caused some terrible knots to form in my back. Jenn was showing me her belt and had an extra one she gave me so I took it to work hoping it would force me to sit up straight and it does! I love it. I do find myself sweating some which is kinda gross at work, but if it helps my back AND trims my tummy then I'll deal w/ a little sweat
