    Good Lord why am I not 20 again? I did something bad to my back, feels like a knife is sticking out of my spine. No training for me till it feels better. Tore my miniscus last year, have torn quad and pec so really it is no biggie, just a total pain in the ass! Silk was nice enough to come over today and try to help medicate me, still hurtin. Hope to be back at the gym soon. Good thing it is not precontest yet! I train smart always, you learn that when you keep tearing shit but man the older I get the easier it is to ding myself up. Gonna lay down on an ice pack now.

    BE VERY CAREFUL WITH NECK AND BACK INJURIES...from what I have learned they are very tricky

    once you have a neck or back injury that is severe it will bother you forever...trust me I know-I suffer from chronic upper back pain, got dropped on my head too many times wrestling

    a good thing you might want to try (and this has worked very well for me) get some of those giant Icy Hot patches, put it on the sore area, then strap a velcro belt around it to keep pressure on it (the kind that you see people wearing in hardware stores for lower back support)

    these are more comfortable than the standard weight belt

    you would be surprised how well this works-it also, acts a reminder not to do anything to bother it

    Sorry to hear all this . Keep with the ice/heat tradeoff and take it easy!! Get well dang soon dang it..

    That sucks Jenn. Hopefully you can heal up quickly. If its just muscle pain and strain you should be back in no time.

    Thanks guys! I am feeling a bit better today. It was not lower back pain which I am used to it was high and in between the shoulder blades. On top of that I am sick so I'm sure that made it feel worse. 3 days off from the gym so far too so that is not helping my frame of mind. Just ran myself ragged this week and now I am paying for it.

    Thanks guys! Back is better now but I am still sick, 3 days off from gym last week, went in last night to train with all machines and it just made me feel even worse. So off today and tmr and then I will try again Tuesday.
