Medical question re HRT

So my bad luck with my abdominal issues continues, May 25th had a colon resection then 3 wks later went back to hospital w severe abdominal pain turns out had blood clots in both intestines and liver. Spent 10 nights in hospital. I see a hematologist (blood DR) in a week to see why the blood clots

So at my age 61, I was on low dosages of Test, like 250mg per wk, I highly doubt that would trigger clots. I'm wondering if I need to tell the blood dr of my HRT use as Ive heard insurance can cancel me, dont know it thats true or not. My surgeon says it may just be plain old dumb bad luck. Anyone else have any experience w clotting issues?

Been off cycle for almost a month now as I'm on a blood thinner and am a bit worried about bleeding after injection, anyone else ever do a cycle while on blood thinners?

PS I lost almost 25 lbs while in hospital couldnt eat for 9 days, all IV feeding so I'm downright skinny :(
 
Holy shit 10 Nights would drive me nuts! I hate hospitals lol, not that anyone likes them lol. I am Very sorry to hear your dealing with this shit again. How long were you in that kind of pain brutha? Man i hate getting old! lmao

As for clotting on or from testosterone .....it makes my blood thin to the point i wont clot with small cuts. I know my small cuts and your liver and intestines is apples and oranges lol,

Thanks DRT and Presser for the kind words, yea pretty scrary to wake up in ICU w a breathing tube down yr throat and a small hoses in each nostril and IV in arm and jugular. The more I research the more I think estrogen may have played a role, I should probably take a test for that

In the last 2 yrs, been in the hospital for bowel obstruction, 2 incidents of my colon wrapped around my stomach, 1 colon resection, 15 yes 15 hernias, a diastais recti (ab seperation) and now blood clots. 8 total hospital visits. I pray every day I never go back at least for any more abdominal work. And at some point I will need surgery on my spine for pinched nerves. I'm like the 6 million dollar man, being rebuilt from the bottom up :)))

Thanks for at least listening, I'll never know how close I was to meeting the man in the big chair!! It really bothers me that my weight 10 yrs ago was 245 albeit bulked up, now its 165 due mostly to condition called Sarcopenia which is age related muscle loss

Its ok to age, just dont get old:)
 
Man they should do a blood test on your Test and estrogen levels and get you some answers.

So I go tomorrow to see a specialist for why I had clots,, is there anyway the Dr can see if Ive been using Test for a long time on a blood test? I been off for over a month now, and test was the only thing Ive used in over a yr and a half. Will be look at my levels I had a month ago and see a drop and question it? Like I said, I really wnat to fly under the radar here as a lot of Drs dont like what I'm doing w my own HRT

BTW thanks for all the get well wishes, an extended stay in the hospital really sucked, the bed was small and uncomfortable, had an IV in, a catheter, they never let you sleep always waking my ass up for vitals and blood draws. Next time I'm trying the Marriott! :)

Im sure you look better than you think daddio! Theres no way that i know of that they can tell how long youve been using testosterone through a blood test. If there is i would be surprised and love to hear how?
 
No way to test how long, only if they have blood work from the last several years or months.
