Fear the Lakers, Gary Payton is signing with them, Karl Malone just announced that he will be signing too. Unless something crazy happens, they are now virtually a lock for the championship.

Has a team ever had 4 hall of famers in the starting line up? Or 4 Olympic players?

Those signings do not elevate the Lakers-Malone is no where near what he was- Over the past 4 yrs his scoring, rebounding have declined significantly, Gary Peyton is such a "me" player and is only about scoring- With Shaq and Kobe averaging 31 and 30 pts respectivley what is he going to contribute from #2 guard position?

Oh and if the Spurs sign Jason Kidd it does not matter what anyone else does.

Spurs may get Kidd and they also said last nite that they may also get A. Mourning. That would be a pretty good lineup too. The Lakers can go jump off a cliff. Malone and Kobe can jump first.

Payton gives them D, pitful guards lit them up last season. Payton can be unselfious at times, he was 3 I think in the league in assists.

I still think Kidd stays in NJ. Mourning said he is leaning toward Dallas, that would finally give them their bruiser down low, if he's back to normal.

So if Dallas gets Mourning, looks to me like their the close second team.

I didn't know Mourning was thinking about going to Dallas.......that city LOVES their Mavericks, made me a fan and I was only there for three weeks!
