starting monday im working on getting ripped. whats a good amount of sets and reps to do for each muscle? sets of 15 reps? how many sets? how much time inbetween sets?
 
got that under control....... 2 packetts oatmeal and 4 eggs sometimes 1 yoke whites in the morning....protein shake 2-3 hours later. lunch 2 hours later- grilled chicken whole wheat wrap, dinner something healthy. and then post workout shake.... figure about 200 grams of protein and like 3000 calories.... im 5'8 185lbs right now
 
for me nothing works better than adding cardio in after the workouts

i was doing 45min post workout BEFORE my whey shake 6 days a week (minus leg day)

3,000 calories is pretty high if you are trying to lose weight.
 
hmmm your not that heavy, but you didnt say enough, like what you r trying to do specifically... Lose 5 pounds? lose 15 pounds? stay at same weight-ish and just lose fat, or try the hardest thing and gain weight without the fat gain at the same time..
 
diet and cardio. I try to still lift heavy to keep size but it is the diet and cardio that will strip the fat.
 
Yup... pretty much everything said here. Diet and cardio will be the key factors to getting that bodyfat to drop!

If you are in fact taking in 3000 calories/day though, that's definitely too much if you're looking to get ripped. I was unofficially told that a good rule of thumb to follow is to multiply your bodyweight by 12 to determine how many calories a day you should be consuming. You're taking in 16x bodyweight. Maybe try slowly dropping it... 15x and adding in cardio, then 14x, then increase cardio... until you start seeing the results you're looking for. Carb cycling should help accelerate your results too

Already? I thought you were trying to get bulked. Gotta let it go longer than that. And as someone else said, it's diet that will get you ripped more than anything.
 
You're going to want to drop the cals first. At 185 lbs, you'll want to drop it to around 2000-2200 to start and see hwo that works for around 3-4 weeks. Doing quicker reps or more reps is a small factor in getting ripped. If you've been lifting a while, you're muscle is under there, you just need to shred the fat to get ripped
 
lol i aint fat. dont really even have a belly anymore...i can tighten my stomach and see the 6 pack and obliques...ill get my body fat percentage today at the gym.....i want to lose some fat and stay the same weight... cuz i aint that big to begin with..i do 15 min cardio 5 daays a week after my workout...maybe ill move that up to 20..maybe only do 1 packett of oatmeal and egg whites only for breakfast...the shake 2 to 3 hours later 2 scoops but with water... the lunch i gotta kick the whole wheat bread....dinner is hard cuz i live at my moms and she tries to make healthy dinner, there never terrible... then maybe post workout shake i'll kick the milk just 2 scoops water and 2 tablespoons of flax seed oil...i take CLA 3 times a day also..and multi vitamins and milk thistle just cuz i still got 2 bottles left and cant hurt right
 
so anyways ill continue to lift heavy.. i wont go up in weight if i cant get atleast like 7 reps on the set before so its not like im doing little
reps now... step up the cardio a bit...i got 1 unopened bottle of IGF....plus im thinking maybe just taking some test prop and arimidex during the summer just to give me a little something..uncle z got sick prices on the prop..
 
Dude, why not just eat clean all day? You have to be focused. Tell the bitches youll take then out for dinner on your cheat day.
 
maybe like 8-10 weeks prop 100mg EOD or 150mg every 3 days with .5ml of arimidex daily..broke out bad last year but i went from enth to sust to prop while taking masteron i think the change in esters fucked me and thats why i broke out.. this time i wanna play it safe and take the arimidex the whole time
 
IGF will help you lose some fat, just apply it to wherever you want to shed a little. Works wonders
 
when the weather gets warmer im gunna get my BBQ going and its salmon, swordfish, lean steak, chicken sausage, turkey burgers, rotation on that bitch lol...so like 2 weeks i can start that
