Job offer

I just got another job offer. A friend of mine went to work for this company that does generator work for major cell companies, they've been around for over 25 years. When he called me he asked what I made now (which isn't shit) and to name my price. I said fuck it and said $20 hr. He called me back 30 minutes later and said they said ok but he told me I have a lot of room to bargin with them, very very possible to get $25 a hr out of them. The only draw back is there is a little travel involved but I lose all the time off I have with my present company, which I'm gonna negotiate that to. Its a small company (25 people) but with really deep pockets.

Sometimes, even when you think your not sure, you know deep down what you want to do. Think of how you really feel about it
and go with with whatever feels right. Keep us posted.

well what you could do is double dip so to speak, take the job offer and then as soon as you know you have the other job...book all your vac. time with the previous company...that way you still get your vac. time and your working so you will get 2 pay checks for the 1st couple of weeks-granted you will burn a bridge but your making good money...or you could see if you can sell back the vac. days and just take the money lump sum

as for the travel time it could work out to your benefit as far as a tax write off...mileage, hotels, cell phone, eating out, etc.

drawl out a pros and cons list including everything (ie do or dont get along with the people u currently work for) and if it looks like it weighs to the new job go for it. My only advise is money isent everything , do you work to live or live to work.
