I keep hearing about this more and more, but i have never tried a deep fried turkey, lol, anyone ever cook and or eat this kind of cooked turkey and if so is it any good??

Oh man! Come to the farm someday. We deep fry all the wild turkeys we get in hunting season. Sooo good. I wish i could get my wife to deep fry our thanksgiving turkey but she is all about tradition.

yeah i hear its good, does it tatse that different from traditionally cooked turkey?

I have fried a turkey and it is awesome.
You can inject the breast with the liquid seasoning you want.

I brine my birds over night in a homemade brine then dry them in the fridge overnight then smoke the birds. I make the bomb ass turkey but I wish I can get a wild bird instead of a store bought one

Tried it once. In the kitchen. LOTS of oil and pretty dangerous. (my kids were still small) Think it stays so moist
because the hot oil closes the pores and seals in the juice. It is pretty dam good. Going to try the soak in the
brine the night before (tonight) this time. They sell the deep fryers now and you can run a cord and do them
outside. Much safer I think. lol

I like the part of the turkey that falls off and sits in the oil at the bottom of the pan for awhile, does it taste anything like that??

If you've never tried wild turkey (not the fucking drink either), it's by far the best turkey you'll ever eat and I don't care how you cook it. It's 10 times juicier and more tender than the store bought stuff that's raised in a crate
