Has anyone else noticed that ammo is out of stock all over the place, i went to my walmart everything worth a crap out of stock no .223 in stock at all. all the normal sites i go to are about out as well at least on the bulk ammo you can pick up the 20 count boxes or whatever still at least.

I had heard that the chinese were buying up all the millitaries spent casings, and that was causing a shortage/spike in cost. Could also be that the govt placed video camera operated machineguns planted on the mexican boarder are fully operational? I think that is the most likely scenerio
This happens every election guys. They will be in stock soon. However, the chinese are buying all of our srap metal, not just casings. They are buying our scrap copper, brass, aluminum, and even steel. They have purchased entire steel mills that were shut down in Pittsburgh. Had them completely dismantled and shipped over there. China is/or is going to be a super power whether we like it or not.

I dont know about how it was four years ago, but it has gotten way worse over the last year. I know there was a massive Government purchase a few months ago. It looks almost like a self perpetuating cycle. Who knows what started it, but an ammo shortage causes people to freak which makes them stock up more, which in turns lead to less supply which in turns freaks others out who then also start stockpiling... I can tell you one thing, its not going down in value anytime soon.

Yes El Duderino, the dept of homeland security bought a million rounds of ammo not long ago. I got into a huge argument with a gentleman recently. He believes that the US govt, is going to let the United Nations disarm the entire US population.. Keep your eyes out for the boys in the blue berets, they are coming to take your guns lmfao!

yeah I remember when i used to buy a box of 50 9mm for like 9 bucks even. I bought just some plinking rounds for my glock 32 .357 sig, which is high priced ammo anyways but 50 rounds for over 20 bucks for the cheap dirty stuff is insane, good thing that gun rarely leaves my holster.
I can confirm this I have been hunting for a decent price on some 5.56 ammo and $400 is pretty good compared to some i have seen out there.
Was this a website or local? if so do you have a link? was it actually in stock?
