Pop Lock and DROP IT...

Damn near forgot to share this story with everyone... So you know those annoying guys in the gym that look like they are in a ghetto club pop locking while they workout... usually during bicep curls... Well first off thats aggravating to me... very much so. Not just cause it looks dumb and its straight up cheating... but it's just a matter of time before they hurt themselves... but to each their own I guess. But this morning there was a guy doing the pop and lock dance move full body bicep curls and as he came down the DB dropped out of his hand and I started busting up laughing I couldn't help it. I said to him "pop lock and drop it"... he looked at me with confusion so it actually gave me the opportunity to explain that he's all ate up during his workout and the benefits of full extension and contraction and isolation... we will see if he takes my advice for future use.
 
Is that when they use the knees and its like a partial squat? That shit is annoying
 
I would like to know to. Becuz I bet I seen someone do this at the gym before.
 
I see new exercises I've never even heard of everyday in the gym, I just wonder where these people get their routines?

Sorry guys... I forgot about this thread. Its those crazy ass guys who rush everything and throw there hips and arch there backs to do a curl or shrug with there legs instead of their traps... its the "I need a lot of momentum to get this weight moving guys". People who are playing it big boy weights when they aren't ready. It looks like they are doing since moves Moreso then working out. They have to pop the weight to lock it. And there was guy doing this and as he straightened up after a curl the weight dropped out of his hand. Watching his poor form followed by the slipping of the weight reminded me of "pop lock and drop it". Sorry it wasn't anything too exciting lol
 
once I saw this guy who looked like he never worked out before put about 300 on the bar at the squat rack.
Me and a couple of other guys are watching with our mouths droped open just waiting for him to squat.
He gets the bar on his shoulders and starts moving up and down about one half a inch. I swear, you had
to look hard to even see him moving. NO MORE THEN HALF INCH. Then puts bar back. It was so bizar we
wernt even laughing, just shaking our heads. Where do these guys get this stuff?

He was doing virtual squats. It's where you load the weight up and imagine yourself doing squats with heavy weight. I hear it works great.

yeah thats pretty bad when its so bad that its tough to even laugh! lol

this same guy was working out arms again on tuesday and he was on the preacher pad... I swear his elbows never went + or - 90 degrees the entire time... he just kept picking his ass up off the seat leaning forward then sitting back down... not a single extension till he was setting the weight down... the only contraction was to get it to a resting 90 degrees. These guys feel so good about what they do... They need to watch that Kai Green video on extension and contraction... Great video by the way.

where they get this shit is they read in the magazines about how you have to lift heavy to get big

had this one fucker in a gym that I use to workout at, he would do only movements that would allow him to move a couple inches and feel good about himself-squats, leg press, shrugs etc

for over 2 years I watched this guy and he always looked the same (like shit), in 2 years he never gained muscle or lost fat
 
My guess is most of these guys have been short stroking it since puberty... it just feels natural to them lol
