Well after many failed attempts Im finally over cigarettes. The past few weeks have been hard and the temptations were everywhere to light one up but I didnt. I think the final nail in the coffin was actually smelling it on one of my friends and thinking thats how I smelled everyday and that was it. It feels good to be able to take a deep breath for once.

I've quit a few times brother. Keep up the faith. Now, I'm a "casual" smoker. lol......Just enough to screw up my wind :(

I used to dip when I drink. I don't smoke at all mind you. But when I drink omg. I used to wake up in the morning thinking to myself you better not have bought dip again cause I was so drunk I couldn't remember. Anyway I haven't drank for 9 weeks now and haven't touched the tin of dip in the fridge. You know something is wrong when you don't like something but you do it anyway. Dip revves me up for like 5 minutes then I feel sick I hate it.:puke:

yea i need to quit smoking and get back dipping (i dont care what my wife says)(yes i do lol) or atleast give the vapor cig a try. i feel i have missed a lot of gains from smoking even taking NO products i still feel i miss out on some nutrients

wife would rather me smoke than dip aint that shit crazy

another thing more calcium and vitamin C-I can't remember how much vitamin C each cigarette takes out of the body

when I was training judo the guy that taught the class was a 6th degree dan (they don't give those away easily) he said back in the 80s when everyone smoked when he would go to the tournaments if he could smell smoke on his opponent he knew that their bones were weaken and they weren't getting the oxygen they needed so the fight was half over

Congrats brother, I've quit for a couple of weeks at a time then as soon as I get stressed I'm back at it. I want to quit, but at the same time I enjoy the relaxation I get when I am smoking. I have an addictive personality so I'd definitely have to find something to replace smoking if I did quit as bad as that sounds

I don't remember the exact number, but smoking substantially lowers your ability to heal. Smokers took like 30% longer for the vertebra to fuse. I'm so thankful I never got into that shit

Good for you buddy and that is awesome that you are already using strategies to make yourself feel better.

I mean is it horrible to say then I enjoy it from time to time? It doesn't own my life, although I just don't see why not to indulge. ehhh

no not horrible to say, I only smoke about 4 or 5 a day...I think that if done in moderation it's not that bad

but I've been talking of quiting for years

Some vatos were lightin up there e cigarrettes in the bathroom of the gym the other day it was pretty sweet. At least they had the courtesy to blow the vapor up towards the vents in the ceiling.
