I know this is like 10 yrs old news but I just read last night about dimebag Darrell's crazy assassination ! My son was born that year so I guess I missed the news - f'n crazy !

Yeah he was considered one of the best ever. I imagine you heard about Jeff Hanneman of Slayer and his spider bite necrotic tissue and liver failure right?

No , but I looked it up on Wikipedia - crazy arsch way to go - especially for a slayer band member - straight hell fire kind of shit - having a family kinda pulled me outta the scene - I've been iheartradio in the gym and using band bio catch up on the dirt

Slayer member dies of flesh eating bacteria fucking nuts. It was supposed to be related to his liver failing mainly but the spider bite is where the flesh started to die first crazy shit.

Dimebag was a true legend... only guitarist i know who preferred to use Solid state amplifiers to get his sound even dirtier... noone has a sound anything like his.

R.I.P. Dimebag and Jeff

And Cliff Burton and all the other great musicians. Did you guys see the hoopla about the Kurt Cobain note released to the public... it looked like a mock song similar to his suicide note about Courtney Love. Anyway you know the saying about Cliff and Dimebag and Jeff and John Bonham jammin in heaven. Wow that would be fucking crazy. I don't know who the lead singer could be....gotta be Curt...maybe Jim Morrison, Hendrix. John Entwistle is actually the best bassist up there now. Cliff is number 2.....maybe.

damn i have no clue who any of those names are, lol, you guys are like rolling stone gossipests

thought they said the spider bite had nothing to do with the liver failure...he said in interviews that when he wasn't on the road he did a lot of heroin

Yeah who knows the truth. Either his liver was failing and couldn't fight the shit that was going on. Or the spider bite just sealed the deal. Maybe it was an infection from needles. Either way it was just ironic a member of Slayer got a flesh eating virus with all the gory lyrics about death they write.

never really thought of it that way

When I first heard great southern trendkill I hated it some how lol I guess I was too obsessed with the first album still. Cemetary Gates was the song that made me an instant fan. Dimebag was absolutely one of the best guitarists ever. He was also killed on the same day as John Lennon, and by the same tragic way by the same type of nut job cockbag

I honestly never bought Trendkill didn't like it either. War Nerve is badass and Sandblasted Skin is good. But Far Beyond Driven and Vulgar Display of Power are epic. I didn't care for Cowboys from hell when it came out. It sounded like Industrial music to me... Cemetary Gates is great song though.

Some good singers that could lead the dead all star band in heaven could be Alice in chains guys or the drowning pool singer. Or one of the all time best vocals Ronnie James Dio. To much talent gone to early.

Yeah man Lane Staley was a big blow. It's funny how the other singer in the band sounds very similar to him. That happened also with Sublime. Had 2 good vocalists.

Sorry Presser, we'll break it down in bands you're more familiar with, you know Village people, i see you and the construction worker guy really getting after the Y M C A song in all its glory.
or maybe you enjoyed and still do a little NKOTB. and on the "days you cant stopped", you crank the Nickleback.
