Why Poptarts are popular in Bodybuilding

They’re also conveniently packaged. When bulking, calories (and of course protein) are king. In general, the only diets that get widely publicized are for “cutting”, as that’s what the average person thinks they want to do.
If you follow around a bulking bodybuilder you might find that they eat things that don’t necessarily conform to common sports nutrition recommendations.

The other scenario when a bodybuilder might scarf down a few pastries would be immediately pre competition when it’s common to carb-up and sodium load, which is partly an application of osmotic pressure principles in order to maximize vascularity and make the muscles “pop”.
The first Pop Tarts came out in four different flavors: strawberry, blueberry, brown sugar cinnamon, and apple currant. Today, there are a wide variety of Pop Tart flavors, including Chocolate Chip, S’mores, Raspberry, French Toast and Mint Chocolate Chip.
The most popular Poptarts flavors in Bodybuilding are S’more Pop Tarts and Brown Sugar Cinnamon.

I admit I love a poptart after a workout! Then a little gatorade with bcaa's, creatine, glutamine. Then igf. Then protein.
 
Blueberry all day.......protien shake and a pack of pop tarts post workout........or pop tarts just because...haha
 
Toss a couple of pop tarts into your blender when you make your shake. Mmmmmm! I just loaded up on them at Sams when I made my monthly trip on the 5th.
 
I admit they are yummy, but have to say if you guys are carb sensitive then watch the fuck out. All that shit adds up fellas. Just like anything else (gonna sound like a nag for a min, then back to normal).......

Things add up.... Whether its protein, carbs, fats, or fuckin liftin some heavy ass weight!!!!

I'd rather add up the plates and reps and have that... rather than all that fuckin fat, carbs and processed fuckin sugar!!!!!!

Ok, back to my normal self......

Now, lets lift some shit, eat and sleep....Wake up and REPEAT!!!!
 
The good thing about being a hard gainer an extra cheat meal or 5 don't hurt you too bad lol.

Love them but I am an endo, so they are empty cals and I can't afford to get FAT when bulking....
 
Toaster Strudels are the fucking shit. Not a fan of pop tarts. I do think there is more fat in those strudels cause they are flakey and buttery. And they give you the frosting....holy fuck this EQ is killing me I'm so hungry.
 
After a hard work out when I have a poptart it is absorbed by my body in about 5 seconds lol. I love simple carbs after a workout. They replenish my glycogen levels quickly and keep me from getting light headed.
