I went to catholic school so i had my share times 10 of going to church, lol, church on Sunday , church before classes monday through friday, and then CCD on saturdays lol,

however, since having the twins who will be 3 years old this week, i have been realy wanting to get the family back into a good church, im not realy into the new age churches where the minister wheres suite and ties and looks all snazzy business like, lol, i prefer the old school catholic churches where the priests are wearing the long Garb/robe and all that traditional stuff, i dont know why but i prefer it i guess cause i grew up to it.

My wife took me to her non denominational church and it just seemed to hip for my liking lol, pastor always wearing 5k$ suits and shoes with bling bling watches and had a beard/gotea facial hair like he was cool, seemed like it was all about the money

Not for me, I went every Sunday until I was about 15 then stopped going. I still Pray from time to time etc. I certainly am still Christian, once/If i end up having some kids then I might try and get the family going, exactly what Presser said to an old school church. My friends church is like a rock concert every day. Just too much for me. Sunday is my chore day working 70+ hours a week and still trying to workout, and eat right, and not mentally go insane.

Hey fellas just got home from church and groceries been reading and enjoying the posts happy how it's going. I told my wife on the way to church what I had posted and she just looked at me. You never know what the response to that question might be anymore.

I usually take the wife and kids to church but my oldest daughter had a photo shoot today.watching your daughters turn into beautiful woman is very hard to do.I need church hahahaha

I can say this as a guy that was not brought up in church at all was actually discouraged, cause work was more important. Those who were raised in a healthy church upbringing have a leg up. Or maybe it's just a better outlook.

You have to remember not to get too caught up in the building know as "church". My favorite church is when I have meaningful conversation of other like minded individuals. If you read the Bible (I like Presser have been to more services and forgotten more bible verse than most have ever read) it says that where two are more are together God is there..............That my friends is church!!

Not correct - Matthew 18:20.
For where two or three gather together in My name, there am I with them.
So if you just have conversation in some place with somebody, it's not mean that this is Church.
You should gather together in the name of God and pray, not only talk. This is only my opinion.

I was born and raised Catholic and I still go to church. I try not to get stuck in the weeds and focus on being a good person and follow the teachings of the bible.
In the end if its all a lie and I went to church I have lost nothing but a few hours. but if its all true (I do believe) and I skipped out....

besides, if going to church makes me feel better and it does, why not. What ever it take to be a descent person or a better human being, I'm there!
The only time I miss church is if I'm on duty some where. (till December) whop whop!

It is very hard to go from something so regimented to something that is so free. I'm back at the Catholic Church and have my daughter in Catholic School. It's just what I am used to.

It's not just that it's the old people that will their belongings to the church when they die also and lots of other ways. The willing of property happens a lot because some people just don't want to give their kids shit and are maybe tossing one last Hail Mary to try to recover from missteps in life I guess.

I don't like anything that tells me how much money I should give. I am very much a Catholic and I have strong morals. Politicians make a living "represnting" the opinions of the people that vote for them.. but normally they do not represent those people. Too many people make a living interpreting God's message to the people and make a very good living doing so... I find something fundamentally wrong with that. Like so many things that started out pure and honest have become bastardized and distorted. Most churches are more interested in becoming closer to my wallet than bringing me closer to God. If religion fundamentally serves to free man from their worldly and materialistic desires so they can be closer to God why are so many of the priests wearing Rolex's and driving Mercedes and BMW's?

I give what I can and I know people they help pay there rent and when we needed a lawyer for my oldest daughter to get her away from her phsyco dad who tried to get full custudy and child support .we needed a little extra money they threw money at us and offered free councling for her and to this day she still gets a free hour a day for councling.

Now I prefer the traditional old boring service where staying awake is a chore. LOL

I blame this new age church for brain washing my once nympho GF into a religious self serving kook. Now I get sex once in a blue moon. I swear shes torn between her vagina and her religion. So the religion deal is rather disturbing, I for one am a Godly person however don't like radical ideals.
