Ronnie Coleman was right, Everyone wants to be a bodybuilder but no one wants to life no heavy ass weight.

You get these guys that hit the gym for a month or two and then all they want to talk about it doing a cycle. I lifted for years before I ever did a cycle. No I am no where near as big as some of the young guys in the gym, but I also have a life and responsibilities. People need to educate themselves and made wise decisions and not just go by bro science. Put in the work damn it!!

If you look back at the greatest bodybuilders, they put in years laying the foundation of their muscles. Sure they did many cycles, but not until later in their careers. Everyone is looking for that magic pill, that magic potion that will put them over the top. Guess what, the magic pill is called work. You can take a shit ton of juice and if you don't do the work, the diet, the cardio and all of the other prep, you are going to look about the same.
This forum provides some of the greatest information on the web. People need to take the time as Presser has said...Train your mind to Build your body.

"Everyone wants to be a bodybuilder but no one wants to life no heavy ass weight." I say this at least 3 times a week when reaching my near max sets. It gets so old having people come up to you asking how you got your arms, traps, shoulders, calves, etc so big. Normally my first response is to simply get in the right mindset. It takes dedication both in and outside of the gym. THERE ARE NO SHORT CUTS!! If you want to be big then put forth the effort. Eat healthy, train hard and get your sleep it's as easy as that.

So true, I had a buddy mine many years ago ask, "Why do you lift weights, they are so heavy?" I think he ment it as a joke but really this is the truth about society.

usually, most things you get, you've got to put in the work. very few ppl are literally born with the proverbial silver spoon.

Funny how 99.9% of the idiotic general public thinks "Aw those guys got all their muscles taking roids" then they go off on a rant about being fake and dying at age 30 and how roids (or "juice" as the uneducated may call it, which I find funny, like hey man any juice for sale? LOL) makes you kill people, is responsible for ISIS and will ruin the world.

Its about hard work....yes genetics plays huge, as does diet, and sleep and lifestyle and so on. Not only hard work but smart work. I just turned 57 and as much as I want to lift heavy, I'm too injured and have had too many injuries in 36 yrs of lifting to go real heavy, hence I said to work out smart. In my case, going light but intense. Like one of the best here told me (3J), dont let yr ego get in yr way. True, for many yrs I was one of the strongest in my gym, now not even close due to age and injuries

So I tell my younger BB's to go heavy at first, then as you age, you MAY have to lighten it up or face the consequences like I have. Heavy is good, no doubt but the matrix changes as we age. I still have my eye on a NPC contest this coming spring if I can train thru my bobo's. If not, there will be other ones

Yes hard work trumps just about everything else. Now despite 2 bad elbows, semi bad delt and a hernia like condition, I will go train very lightly, at least for now

yep, yep, yep. my wife tells me all the time i need to take it easy on so many things. i know i do and i'm certainly not the young pup i use to be. with degenerative disc (and joints) it makes for some interesting workouts to say the least. sometimes it comes down to just saying the heck with it and hanging it up for the day. i just started trt in sept, so gear is a nice change in my life. though a couple of times someone would comment on me taking roids. it was all hard work and pushing myself. i find most ppl don't want to push themselves that much when it comes to weights. i think it's something you have to enjoy as well as want.
then again, maybe it's just the marine in me talking. push, push, push. go, go, go. oorah!

I worked out nattie for over 10 years before I did my first cycle. I read everything I could get my hands on about AAS before I made the plunge. I had reached my genetic limits at a weigh of 250 lbs. My first cycle was 25 mg sust/week and 30 mg dbol ed. In one months time I was sitting at 275 lbs. Best cycle I ever had, but then again the first cycle always is.

It's just another manifestation of the prevailing mindset in this country. No one wants to work for anything... and if you have more than they do its because of some unfair advantage.. yes the man, world, Big business owners.. is holding them back!! They should have 21" inch arms by training twice a year just as they should make 100k flipping burgers. God bless America
