Default Long weekend with the fam

Got a long weekend with the wife and kids and training will be tough. But it’s times like this that balance and priorities are in check. My wife will undergo exploratory surgery to remove a lump in her breast, my step son will complete in the state championships in ROTC air rifle competition and his senior prom. Times like these are when you as the leader of the household has to step up. It was not easy but strings where pulled and I was able to come home, comfort my wife and cheer on my son.

God bless you and your family brutha! I wish the best to your wife and i am sure everything will go well daddio! And why do they call it “exploratory surgery” if they know where the lump is and theyre going in to remove it?

Im not being funny, or joking, Im seriously asking if u know why thats what they call it? It doesnt sound so comforting to me as a patient or family member to patient !

If they are going in to remove a lump from my wifes boob, i want them to call it, “pin point extraction surgery” or “we got ths shit surgery” I will even settle for “lump-be-gone surgery” !! But “EXPLORATORY SURGERY” No thank you! Call me when you got that shit mapped out! lol

I’m with you 100%. It’s called that because they are not doing a biopsy or waiting on any test. They know it’s an issues and want it out now then do the test to find out what it was. Which is a bit terrifying to me, I’m sure my wife is scared. Just knowing the facts would give me some peace. I’ll update y’all next week when results are back. And thank you for your kind words.

Just got the good news. It was not cancerous and just a bad gland that had gotten infected. I’ll get more on it later but the big news is it’s not cancer
