Hey, MC, been quite a while since I was active here. Been quite busy with all kinds of shit happening in life. Made a major change for the better and am now able to make time for training - which has been severely lacking - and maybe contributing a little bit here again. Glad to be back, and see some familiar members still active.

Good to be back. I took this job in August that was a huge pay raise... but turned out to be the worst job I've ever had. Supervisor at a trash burner power plant ("waste to energy", "WTE"). The schedule was so awful, and the demand for extra hours so often, it was absolutely awful. I finally quit and went in business for myself. Now I'm trying to get myself in a sustainable routine.

The job I quit when on day shift, I was up at 3:15 or 3:30, work 12 hour shift from 5:30 to 5:30, but really didn't get out until after 6 most times. Same deal on night shift, just switch am for pm. And we switched days to nights every week! Training was limited to about 20 minutes before work in the morning - I couldn't stand to get up any earlier. And eventually training pretty much faded almost away. Not totally, but totally inconsistent, haphazard, and half assed.

Back in the saddle now. Did a leg workout after work today.

Also have shoulder issues: "incomplete tear" in a rotater cuff in left shoulder. That's been a major issue and is also causing training issues, as you can imagine. I just started a growth hormone run to try to heal that without surgery. I've had the surgery before and the recovery is LONG. And painful. So, hoping the HGH will help with that. A buddy of mine had similar injury and had good result with HGH, I'm hoping I will too...

But meanwhile, figured I'd jump back on here and get involved again. That ought to help me get consistent with training again, too.

Welcome back!!! Make sure you get some guesses into the lottery and we can some free stuff headed your way to get things going again!

I have taken jobs that I saw through binoculars and they became nightmares with excessive hours and terrible management. At least you got out alive!

Man, I have REALLY been struggling lately! I need surgery on my left shoulder to repair a large rotater cuff tear that affects 2 tendons; a labrum tear; severe osteoarthritis; and an impingement. All stemming from a motorcycle crash that happened in 2010. I hurt it anew a few months back playing hockey and couldn't lift weights really at all as a result. Meanwhile, I'm struggling with poor sleep and chronic fatigue. I thought the fatigue stemmed from my former shift work jobs, which I did for the past 7 years. But, I've been done with that for 6 months now, amd still feel drained much of the time. I'm getting tested for Lyme disease. Hoping I don't have it, but if I do, at least that explains the fatigue. I went in business for myself in June and have been working steadily until this week, when I have a lull. That's very positive but it has taken most of my focus. So, another thing that's gotten in front of training.

So I have found myself with extremely low motivation and muchnof the time I submit to it amd don't work out. I started on HGH in July to try to help my shoulder, which worked. The pain is nearly gone and I can lift again. But I often don't! My head, which is my enemy, tells me, "What's the use? You're getting surgery next month; you're going to shrink to a skeleton after that anyway. Don't bother. It's going to take years to get back to where you were a few months ago."

Luckily, my wife is training pretty consistently, and she's helped me a little lately simply by setting an example and being in our gym. We used to train together all the time, so it's easier to do it with her than alone. Been doing pretty OK this week. Did legs; chest and tris; amd am currently doing a back workout. I know that the better shape I'm in when I go for surgery, the better.

I've lost about 10 lbs, so I'm down to 190 instead of the 200 I had been. Some of it is fat loss, but definotely muscle loss as well. I still look pretty good, but my strength has all but left me. I had been benching 295 during my workouts; now my heaviest set is 245, just for example. That's discouraging also. I KNOW the only way to regain that strength is to lift what I can lift now and keep pushing. But damn, my head tells me, "This sucks. What's the use, anyhow?"

Fuckin thing! I doubt any other creatures' own mind is their own enemy! WTF! Lol!

Anyway, still here, sort of, trying to claw my way back up on my horse.

Weve all been there Bro! Life sucks sometimes, it’s just that simple. You’ll get through it

Oh what’s the new business you started?

A general contracting business. Blueliner Building and Improvements, LLC. Been doing home repairs and improvements/remodeling.

I was in business back in the early 90's as a framing contractor and built around 175 homes back then. I was un the construction business for about 10 years at that time, self employed for 2 of them.

My wife and I have a few investment properties, and I do my own work on those.

Plus, I became a licensed "Stationary Engineer" during my time working in power generation.

So, this is a new venture, but not a new skillset.
