don't do a strongman when dieting for a bodybuilding show

i'm always down to compete. so i got talked into doing a strongman comp. i'm 5 weeks out from a bodybuilding show so i trained easy this week and carbed up friday. i've got 2nd the last 2 strongman comps i've done so i said what the hell. well this is how it went. 1st event tire flip/ 2 place: 2nd event log press/ tied for 2nd: 3rd event medily(sp?) consisted of farmers walk, 3 keg move, and tire drag. i got forth in this one and past out at the end. came to, to some smelling salts and couldn't move for about 10 min. after i got up i threw in the towel. there were 2 more events (conan wheel and truck pull) and there was no way in hell i could have done those. anyway i bit off more then i could chew today next time i won't make that mistake.
 
i competed ONCE in a strength contest. my trainer told me to do MORE cardio...i figured.....naaa...i don't need cardio, im strong:rolleyes:

after the tire flip i had to suck back 2 tanks of oxygen from the ambulance:D

since then i have learned...i may be strong....


but im all smoke and mirrors;)
