hey guys, need some info. For the past almost 2 wks my right shoulder has been bothering me. It hurts at the end of the clavicle ontop of the shoulder on the bone. right were your shoulder and delt meets. i can press down on it and stings alittle. When i pull my arm laterally towards my back "as in doing pec flys" hurts like hell. lately its been just a kinda come and go throb pain. not unbareble, but i know its there. Started icing it today, ran out of ice "4got to refill ice" so i got a frozen pack of fish on it, lol. Anyone can shed alil more info if this could be a tear or just a pulled muscle? Thanx

My rotator cuffs have been messed up for a long time. I have gotten some relief from ice and asprin/tylenol. But the only thing that really helps is some specific exercises.

The first exercise focusses on the inner or outer rotator cuff. You can do it by laying on your side on a bensh and then holding your arm by your side, bent at the elbow. You then move it from in front of you to your side. You can do the same exercise standing using the cable. I do ten reps at a weight where my form is good and I am not pushing things too hard. This works vere well for me.

The second exercise is going push ups with your hands on a ball. This is less stable so it works out your shoulders more.

The first exercise will pretty much fix my shoulder when it acts up. It usually takes a week or so. I would love to read about other exercises that you folks do.

i read a few good ones a while back in the rehab forum we have here

read up on some theraband exercises and heat and ice it take a small antiinflamitory and see if it gets better. If not go to the doc cause it might keep gettin worse ive torn a rotator cuff muscle all the way and it is not fun i was out for a total of 6.5 months. Get it checked out if you think somethin is actually wrong.

i think its a pulled muscle, i was doing front lateral raises with 50lb dumbbells and i realized i was jerky on doing them, i think thats how it happened.

If you find out it's a torn labrum, hit me up. Three surgeries on my left shoulder. I was subluxing though (it would slip out of socket and then slip back in by itself, anywhere from 2 seconds out to 2 minutes out at a time).

My symptoms other than the sumluxation were constant night pain and stiffness and a feeling that it could slip out when I had my elbow shoulder level or higher; or if my elbow was at my side and I tried to reach out or back with my hand while keeping my elbow at my side.

FUCK! hope it aint that. im giving it another week, been going light on it. if not better, hittin up that MRI!
