20 rep deep breathing squat

Anyone ever try this. It is one set of 20 reps. You take a weight you can
do 10 with and with deep breathing between reps - you SQUEEZE out 20.
Then you do light dumbell pullovers with the deep breathing. It is supposed
to make your whole body grow and expand your ribcage. It used to be big
in the 70's. I forgot the rest of the exercises for the rest of the body but
it was just basic compound movements. pullups, deadlifts ect..
I am trying to find the info on the variation I use to do. Anyone ever hear of
this or even try it??? If you do it right it's hard not to puke after. lol
 
sounds like a variation of widowmakers. One set of 20 reps on squat. Those are a bitch. Did Arnold do this in the 70s?
 
I have done those. They are hard to do as hell, and yes, you want to puke afterwards.
 
they should call them "try to breathe" squats cause you spend the last 10 reps trying to catch your breath
 
never done em i havent been able to actually squat in years due to shoulder not supporing the weight good sounds interesting though.
 
Not like a widowmaker or DC. I'll post when I get the workout. Not sure if Arnold
did em. Drew hit the nail on the head. - try to breath squats!!!

try smith or hack squats even. not quite as intense as free squats but a close second.
