I usually do hammers with my elbows at my side with 125 dumbs like nuk nuk, yeah right. Just kidding. I actually do them at my side but I put my elbows a little closer together and inside body width. I actually kinda propped them up on my ribs to start. I did 3/4 reps and got a killer pump this way. Never allowed myself to reach full range of motion and my forearms are actually sore today. That hasn't happened in a while either.
