How much rest between sets

Its always been hard for me to keep a partner because a 90 second rest between sets is a long time. Im wondering if that is the norm or shorter than most guys here? The only exception would be big compounds such as bench, squat, and deads when I do them. Those I wait about two minutes.

that's about how long I go in between, unless I'm supersetting a push/pull deal. Then there is no rest in between sets, as I'm going straight from my push, to my pull, back to my push, etc, etc.

Depends on Intensity too (if you are increasing weight or not) if you are increasing your weight (intensity) then a longer rest is needed, if you're doing lighter weight more overall volume you don't need as much rest between sets.

thats the best thing about having a partner... you dnt ever take too much rest but take just enough to recover for the nxt set.

when i train for strength i usually take about a minute to a minute and a half or until i feel the muscle isnt as engorged with blood when i ended the set.

when training for a show and supersetting i usually only rest about 20 seconds or so

I do a SOLID 2 minutes of REST.. I feel I come back into that next set the STRONGEST.. and can really focus on the muscle(s) I am working and can pound out more PERFECT REPS.. I SEE people all the time take like a 30 second rest and after the 4 or 5th rep their form starts going to shit.. and these are Dudes that aren't your average bear.

I have a lil time watch thing that beeps at me at 1min40sec after i press the button when I am done with a set that tells me to get ready.. and by the time I am set.. boom 2mins.. and I slam it !!

i wait until i have all my wind back i dont want my lungs to give out i want the muscle to give out

I sometimes time myself inbetween sets with my watch usualy when im doing high reps medium weight workouts, and I generaly stay netween 15-20 seconds. Needless to say Im soaked by the end and sometimes bring a change of shirts to change into half way through , I figure it is good for cardio when i do it this way . But when Im going heavy for periods of time i usualy just wait til im ready to go again and full steam and dont bother timing between sets

I usually always lift heavy so I don't really time myself but give myself enough time so that I am not winded. Maybe 2 minutes or so between sets.
