Default Today's thoughts on Progression for muscle growth.

So getting stronger isn't the best goal given my strength at this point so I thought of using a volume and strength based progression. Normally I do one working set per exercise 3 exercises and then my FST7 sets. So today I thought I could hit my heavy set maybe match or be within a rep or two and then do a second set obviously with less weight and progress on the reps there. Or perhaps use a total volume per exercise method. Say I do 4 plates a side on the Incline Hammer for 15, Then a second set of three plates a side for 20. In all that's 10,800. So I could progress via the two sets.
What do you guys think? Any merit to this?

Basically total amount lifted via 2 sets. Weight multiplied by reps multiplied by 2 (sets). It would be a decent reflection of the amount of work a muscle is capable of. See what I mean? Trying to come up with new ideas for progression.

I would just do the workout as intense as possiable...I dont do much volume, but I dont put to much thought into this. I just want to do more weight or reps from the last workout...I will add in a drop set or superset toward the end of my workout, to get all the blood into the muscle..but thats really about it...just progress everyworkout, and go all out...

Bro I am trying! That's pretty much what I do now and I've added in the FST7. I'd like to think my chest is growing and the growth of the rest of my body is just faster, but chest is such a focal point.
