Ab training in the offseason
How many of you guys or girls do abs in the offseason or if you dont compete in the winter months? Ive always done abs only prior to precontest. Recently Ive started and doing them at least once every two weeks. Its nothing crazy, just a couple of sets of two exercises. I know as everyone else does that your core gets alot of work from regular training, but I think occassionally some direct work helps balance things out.
I dont see any benefit for the beach or anything as my waist gets so thick and blocky in the offseason that my abs being a bit bigger isnt going to make much difference.
