Phosphates causing Kidney Stones

So about a week or so ago I had this horrible pain in my back shortly followed by me pissing blood. I knew it was a kidney stone becuase I get them often. So I go to the doc and am able to give a sample that actually had a stone in it. They did whatever they do and were able to tell me that there are 3 different types of stones. Calcium, uric acid, and phosphate based. Mine are phosphate based. The doc then did a brief history interview and told me that most of the protein shakes/ weight suppliment shakes have a huge amout of phosphate in them. So Im having to cut them out. I cannot find a mix that doesnt contain fairly large amounts phosphate/phosphorous in it and this puts a HUGE CRAMP in my diet/ meal plan. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have an idea of how I can work around this issue without cutting suppliments out of my diet? Thank you

Damn bro sorry to hear this! I will look into it for ya and see what powders/brands i can find that are more suitable to your needs. Give me a little bit and il see what i can dig up.

Meanwhile your going to have to up your solid foods intake to compensate for the loss in shakes which im sure you already know and i know thats alot of solid food to be eating for some folks myself included big time as i cant eat much.

Hang tight and ill see what i can find out for ya with a little digging brutha!!!

thanks

I was just telling my wife that I bet Ill get a fast ass reply from Presser. I knew I could count on you! Thanks bro

LMAO well thats nothing to brag about on my end, lol, its actualy SAD how much I live on here!

Damn man thats rough. I don't know much about kidney stones. I've heard that if you're prone to them, it's pretty easy to get them. Is there something that blocks the absorption of phosphates like calcium does with zinc??

Im actually looking that up right now, it should have been the first thing i looked at. thanks dude

Ok heres a possible answer for anyone else that might be having the same issue, acetate salts will block some asorbtion of phospahtes as well as double you amount of calicum. The draw back to lowering your levels of phosphates is decreased appetite and slower muscle recovery. One must make a real effort to eat correctly and monitor the diet for balance between the two, as far a a safe shake or suppliment im still working on finding one. With the help of a friend...acetate salt is what they flavor salt and vinegar chips with, so unless you want to go around licking a bag of chips, id go with the calicum thing.
"if you keep breaking down the walls they put infront of you, eventually they will build them with a door to walk through"

Syntha 6

If anyone else is having issues with kidney stones*caused by a phosphate build up* SYNTHA 6 is a pretty good source for an alternative drink suppliment. Its much lower(like 37-40grms) in phosphates than the average shake. Thanks Presser

Did you purchase the Syntha 6 brutha and if so hows it going for ya thus far?

I did purchase it. Tastes a bit chalky, but all in all its fine. Havent had any noticable weight loss, and no further problems with the stones. Thanks Presser
