How often do you train each muscle?

No matter what I do I can't seem to train a muscle group more than once every 9 - 11 days. Even Silk trains each muscle group twice in that time. It seems as though I can train less and less frequently. Any of you experience this? How often do you train each muscle group?
 
well I have been doing back twice a week and now going to do legs twice a week also. My week will look like this

Monday: Legs
Tuesday: Back
Wednesday: Chest, Biceps
Thursday:Legs
Friday: Shoulders, Triceps
Saturday: Back
Sunday: Off
 
I do a regular 5 day split hitting each body part once.

Sunday: quads
Monday: bicep and tricep
Tuesday: shoulders
Wednesday: off
Thursday: chest and hamstrings and calves
Friday: back
Saturday: off

But thinking about rotating off days with a lagging body part which would be chest and tricep.
 
I have trouble squeezing in each body part in a week also. I'm an old fart so my recovery is shit hence I can only trian two days in a row. Getting old SUCKS!!!
 
Great post. I was about to ask this. I think shoulders, arms and legs get used a lot whether doing other muscle groups or just daily tasks. Chest doesn't seem to get any other stimuli and it's a weak part of mine, so what do you think of 2x per week for chest.
 
I train each bodypart twice over every 8 days...its like this ...

day 1 chest/delts/triceps
day 2 Quads/hams/calfs
day 3 off
day 4 Biceps/back
day 5 repeat cycle

its like DC 3 way split...I keep the volume down, and keep the intensity at a level where I can recover but grow...

wow, that's a good looking split. When you mean keeping volume down and intensity up do you mean lower reps and heavier weight?

Bro, where do you get the time and energy for this!!!! It sounds awesome and Im trying to hit each muscle every 6-7 days but thats damn near impossible somtimes. I do have kids and all which makes it harder but even so, wow thats a lot. I have founf the bigger I get, most of my time is eating food all damn day or planning the food or buying the food.
