pull ups

My 11 yo wanted a pull up bar today!! went straight out to academy and got one. got home and went to install it. i thought it would be like the ones i grew up with, but hell no, ive gotta screw these huge lag bolts into my door frame. this is a newish house man, forget that. guess were going back tomorrow and ill pay more attention to what the hell I'm buying.

lol, come on a few holes wont hurt,lol and i hate pullups and have never been good at them either

My buddy from years ago had lats like you wouldnt believe and all from just doing crazy amounts of pull ups

Hahaha. I've seen many pulled outa door frames in the remodeling industry. One guy too big and house too cheap and door frame collapsed..lol.. Get a free standing model..combo dip/ chin if he's into it.. I can do 3..lol

I love pull ups... When I'm feeling strong. Lol I've got one of those as seen on tv pull up gimmicks that just wedge into the door frame and it works great.

Lol. Don't use one in a hollowcore door frame cause I've seen them bowed and split out from too much weight..

Pullups, pushups, crunches, body squats are the best and safest exercises in the world. I'm with bighorn, if you have space get a free standing one. They are always on craigslist for really cheap!

Doesn't Randy Couture endorse wegde style pull up bar. Comes with a workout dvd....extreme Couture I think it is.

The iron gym is what I use, it's the one that hangs in the door way. It will mess up the dry wall above the door a little so I'd suggest thinking about that at first.
