Hey Guys....

Although I don't compete, I have several friends who do.
I was curious who on here is competing and when and where?

Also, what's your regimen like??

Thanks,
Austin

maybe....Venice Beach and then NPC TOC the following weekend...back to back

yeah i figured you were going to hit a show or 2 this year! good for you bro! i just don't have the diet discipline anymore!

I think everyone should compete once in their life. Having pictures of you at your best are priceless. It gives you the confidence of knowing you can pretty much do anything you want with your body.
Having a show date locked in keeps you accountable. That pizza may look good now, but it won't when your onstage next to 20 other guys in thongs that skipped it and instead did little more cardio.
I never thought I'd compete again, but I feel like I have enough in the tank to do it again and look a lot better. My hope is for 2015 if things go good this year.
I was talking to a guy at work Friday that had the same surgery as me three years ago. It was 10 weeks before he could drive again. I'm in the gym training at 3 1/2 weeks with the blessing of my surgeon.

Nicely put bro. Plus I wouldn't tell anyone you're prepping, makes things easier from people asking you how your prep is going when you feel like shit.

Dude, I have to say that is an awesome recovery time!! I'm around the recovery side of these things a lot in my career and you're in the top percentile brother. So, keep pressing forward and keep things simple for a few months. I'm so glad to hear your doing so well. I'm also hoping you'll be in TN when you compete cause I try to make the shows close by....;)

That's awesome Dude.....setting a goal like that is huge after all you've gone through...you know you have mad support here....

Thank you guys. It's all about a positive mindset which you guys and Silk were instrumental in providing.

I'm definitely competing in powerlifting this year.

powerlifting meets are fun as fuck! I remember we had a self anointed power lifting team at the gym i started out at and we all went down to do this meet and it was a blast other then my one boys name being listed on the wall to go talk to the aau area rep, and we all knew what it was, he failed a drug test the last meet he did, and it was pretty sad driving all the way down to the meet with him and have to have him watch us, anyhow do they still drug test these meets, they use to only drug test the winners after the meet

I wouldn't compete in a tested meet for three reasons... 1) very very few are actually natural (well the guys who would be strong at least); 2) if by chance there is a true natural competitor, I'm not natural and not going to compete claiming natural; 3) I'll probably be on prohormones when I do one.

SPF and a lot of other organizations do not test at all. Thankfully, the organizations that test also have insane depth standards for squats. I squat deep (deeper than 99% of people in commercial gyms), but my knees won't allow me to do olympic depth squats anymore which is what some of the organizations require. If I could get down to 181, I'd easily be top ten in the country.

Assuming I can properly rehab my elbow and delts, I will have to re-qualify for Nationals by yrs end (NPC). I am also considering lipo for my abs, but thats a thread I'm gonna post soon w/pics for everyone to see here.
