Anabolics, Competitions, and the Journey to a 500lbs bench

Hello everyone,

I am a competitive Power Lifter, new to the sport but have been competing for 1 1/2 years. Currently am aiming for a 500lbs bench at 220lbs and once that goal is reached a 500lbs bench at 198lbs.

This is my journey, which will involve anabolics, lots of competitions, lots of videos, and my awesome swagger which you will just have to learn to love.

Right now I am set to be competing December 7th At the RPS Christmas Competition: XXX « Revolution Powerlifting Meets

If all goes to plan here I will be competing in the Raw Unity Meet (RUM 8) in Florida which is a huge deal, meaning I will be competing with the best of the best raw lifters.

I am a RAW lifter, only thing used is a belt, knee wraps, and wrist wraps. Most of my team were geared/equipped lifters. Different techniques but they are all bad ass too.

470 RAW my last Competition at 220 class.
 
Current AAS usage.

I am just now starting week 2 of Test/Deca
Test 750mg/week
Deca 500mg/week

No real feedback as of yet.

I am running some nice TBOL and M1T
Tbol 40mg (20mg/AM - 20mg/ pwo (5pm)
10mg M1T I really love this stuff, no lie strong stuff.

Are we allowed to say the source? They are a sponsor here...

My diet is pretty consistent
Breakfast 7am (muscle egg) 20 egg whites (2cups muscleegg)
Oatmeal 9am
Chicken and Rice with Asparagus 11am
12am tanning LOL :)
2pm chicken and rice with asparagus
4pm oatmeal
5pm Gym
After gym Dinner + protein shake.
 
Nice Lift! Doesn't seem like much food for such a big guy! Maybe the portions are big.. You are not allowed to share source or talk source info here. However you may say the lab. Which will likely give up the source anyway if it is a sponsor here. Anyway your layout looks good to me if you were asking.

My chicken and rice is 2 cups of rice 6+ stalks of asparagus and 8-10oz of chicken.
I am currently "playing" with my diet. if my weight drops I will just increase food intake. if my weight goes down I decrease food intake. I am currently at 215.
 
great lift brutha!!! I competed in powerlifting before i competed in bodybuilding and i loved it! Though it took a serious toll on my joints and body over the years! Anyhow that was an awesome video brutha, thnx for sharing! I remember my first lift ever in a meet, i fucked up and didn't wait for the "rack" command, lol, I was so pumped and psyched that i pushed the weight so easy that i just racked it myself, i jumped up super pumped , looked over and seen the red fail light, lol, and was like FUCKKKKK LOL.

Anyhow i love powerlifting even though it isn't for me anymore, its a blast to compete in! thats a nice lift brutha! Good luck reaching your goal! I am sure you will!

Also they drug tested the winners of each class back in the AAU days, do they test you guys still? and what federations are you competing in?

Now a days the major federations (IPA, RPS, SPF) have three divisions:
Amateur (no drug testing, but if you total a certain amount you are AUTOMATICALLY put into "pro" category
Elite (Drug tested. Compete Amateur if you hit a "pro" total you can claim "elite" take a drug test and if you pass you are placed into this drug free clategory
Pro (no drug tests)

Sounds like a damn sweet cycle man any precautions with the deca or have you ran it before. I wanna use it in the near future and never have and buddies get me damn paranoid about my groundhog not coming out the hole lol!

29 years old. big 30 in december.

Almosy in your prime! well at least bodybuilding prime isn't until early 30's , but powerlifting might be a little different lol
 
Saturday:

really just a rep squat day, and by reps I mean i did triples. Had a great squat session. Actually got 455 for a triple, which is more than a PR. 2 weeks ago I got 445 for a double... this week 455 for a triple... clearly things are firing correctly.
Deadlifts are still a struggle. Doing a lot of glute work to iron that out, which will also help my squat.



Sunday:

Today I did "speed work" but with a shit ton of band tension. Probably around 300+lbs of band (you can see I used the normal thick black band + the monster mini band... each doubled over, you do the math). The bar speed was descent and my triceps were DEAD after 4 sets of this.
My bench overall is down due to getting stuck in the bottom (which bands won't help) we start my competition bench training soon and despite my bench being down now my coaches seem confident I will break my old PR of 470 in competition. Just gotta dial things in a bit more.
After the speed work I went balls to the wall 120lbs dumbbells with thick green band. no joke.

After that a bunch of accessory work
 
lol, love the band/dumbell video. Never seen that shit done before with bands, looks hard,lol, and do you ever plan on switching over to do bodybuilding? I just ask cause most guys i know including myself started out competing in powerlifting like your doing and I'm kind of curious what you have going on under all that mass physique wise lol.

Brother bands and chains are absolutely no joke, and that tension is HARD. Seen people get hurt because they don't fully appreciate the tension and how hard it can be to overcome it.

Hah no idea whats under this mass physique wise :) I have no bodybuilding plans or aspirations... that could change but it is unlikely to change in the next few years.
