    Default Deca and joint pain?

There has always been a lot of anecdotal evidence by gym rats saying that the anabolic steroid nandrolone decanoate(Deca) can help alleviate joint point, but is there any science to back this claim up? It turns out that there may in fact be a mechanism that could explain this phenomena. This study shows that nandrolone(via NorAndrostendione/diol) can bind to the aldosterone receptor and amplify its effects in a sodium loaded state. Aldosterone is a mineral corticosteroid that controls mineral and electrolyte uptake into cells. It's essentially the master regulator of the sodium/potassium ratio.

This study showed that adding aldosterone and nandrolone to a sodium loaded state can potentiate the actions of aldosterone and significant decrease in sodium excretion. This means that your body is pumping more sodium into your cells which causes some water retention. If it does this around your joint tissue, you now have water/fund retention by your joints and interstitial tissue which may decrease joint pain and discomfort. This may explain why despite Nandrolone not readily converting to estrogen, it still can cause some water retention that may be beneficial. Some bodybuilders claim Deca is a godsend for your joints, while personally I have never really felt it did much for my joints. Nevertheless, here is a possible mechanism that can explain this very common gym rat occurrence.

personally, i have degenerative disc/joints and found deca to be quite beneficial. npp is also very good as well for this. i also find that just having testosterone on board is helpful to the chronic pain i suffer from. currently, i'm off all gear in the hope i can get on trt through the va.

Deca is extremely beneficial for disc and spinal disorders such as degenerative disc,or any arthritic joint to be honest. So many bodybuilder and just blue collar workers are subject to strenuous activity and the results from dca while on TRT is just incredible, such a great compound!

    DR B,

I have this crazy thing that I have all the signs of RA, but the blood work doesn't show it. I cannot take any of the meds as they tear up my stomach. The only thing in the cold that helps me is Deca. So glad to hear you say that it helps.

    Thank you.

I have AC Joint arthritis in my right shoulder. Just recently went on 250 of Deca a week. My shoulder seems to be responding nicely from the Deca.
