Filtering oil based solutions with vacuum filter (PES)

Hey Guys,

in about 2 weeks it will be my first time filtering my gear with vaccum filters and I am pretty psyched! Syringe filtering is a bitch and since I am filtering 1 liter of solutions it will be fucking stupid not to switch to vacuum filtration.

I realize there is a lot of discussion on what types of filter to use (PVDF, Nylon, PES) and that these plastic vacuum filters ready to use are pretty shit.



I dont know if I fucked up with these ones:

I want to filter Test prop, drostanolone prop and tren ace. Recipe contains BB, BA and GSO.

1. Is the process with PES possible?
2. Any tips on not to destroy plastic filters?

I will copy this thread to our Powder Conversion forum for those guys to see and help out with as well as leave this copy here in steroid discussion forum. Wish I could help but the only thing I’ve ever filtered was coffee, and I fucked that up, lol
 
dont go over
10"hg while using vacuum.
PVDF​
better choice but pes is also fine, it should be steril filter, now go on.​
 
PES-filter membranes are not compatible with BA and BB. How many did you buy? I know many people have filtered their gear with PES-filters without any issues, don't use to much pressure though. Next time get nylon or even better PVDF.
 
from what i've read on it, nylon ones are not prudent to use either. you won't go wrong if you use the pvdf ones, 0.22um. you might want to consider filtering through a 0.45 um first though.
 
No need to filter it twice, you will just loose gear :) And you'll just have more shit to clean and sterilize later (hate this part) Keep it simple bros, don't overcomplicate things!
