Its great we have a O'Canada forum now, so trying to spark interest in our neighbor to the north. I've been there many times and I have a few fav places, some cities and some lakes. Here's my short list:

*Montreal, went up there the week after I was in the 1990 AAU Central USA (pulled a 5th) what a great city, underground was awesome, the St Lawrence River, all the downtown French architecture and food made for a great trip. The language barrier kept things interesting but a lot of locals were bi-lingual and the road signs were easy deciphering. Would love to go back

*Thunder Bay Ont......Superior by nature is their motto, the city itself is only 100K but plenty of nature nearby including the sleeping giant provincial park where the Sleeping Giant is, a huge rock formation where you can look down at least 200 ft to Lake Superior. If yr a diver as I am, plenty of shipwrecks at nearby Isle Royal State Park but wear yr dry suit as the big lake is cold yr round

*Toronto, is just as modern as its easterly neighbor is traditional,(Montreal) very large city where the drivers exceed the limit by 30mph and yr in the slow lane. Great downtown, very multi ethnic and the CN tower is quite a sight

Lake of the Woods, in western Ontario, been a long time since I was there but the fishing was fantastic, pulled walleyes, northern and small mouth by the hordes. A large lake with endless side bays, its easy to get lost here. Oh and bring your repellant the mosquitoes are the size of birds here

Anyone else have a fav city or part?
