So I have just been prescribed some HGH by a new doc. I had been testing low for years, but the other docs would not give it to me solely based on the fact that I was muscular. Didn't matter what the test said. Anyway, so now I have a script. I was prescribed Omnitrope 5.8mg, and I'm supposed to take 0.2mg to start, and my doc wants to work me up to possibly 0.4mg. This is a little confusing to me since I've only heard of HGH in units, iu. When the pharmacist showed me how much 0.2mg was, that was the 4th tick on an insulin syringe. So how do you work the conversion? Supposedly, this vial of 5.8mg is supposed to last me about a month, 5 days on, 2 days off. How do I convert from the mg to iu? Am I actually taking 4 iu if it's the 4th tick mark or is it actually something else? Posting this here in this forum for hopes of more replies.

Well, that completely depends on how much water is used to reconstitute it. How much BAC water was mixed with the vial?

The water was given to me also, 1.14ml was what was on the vial. Don't remember seeing iu on it. Found an insert online on Omnitrope 5.8mg, and it says that after mixing, the concentration is 5mg/ml. It also says the dry powder of 5.8mg equals 17.4 iu.

This seems to work as 5.8 x 3 = 17.4 iu as the insert says. So I guess I'm pretty much starting out at roughly 0.6 iu and will be working up to roughly 1.5 iu if this math is correct.

Was just thinking some more about this, and if that's as much as I'm really getting, then I might as well get a least one regular 100iu HGH kit out there. Might as well do an actual 2iu per day, and do it longer and cheaper since with "insurance," this Pharma HGH costs about $320--for 17.4iu! Sponsors often have 100iu for half that price. Talk about expensive!
