My starting point was 2 semesters ago. Not quite sure what my bf was like at the time. 5'7" My weight didnt actually change any If anything it dropped im sitting at 142 dripping wet. Im having trouble gaining weight im packing on muscle just the scale isnt going up any. Im doing a modified bill stars 5x5 program doing a 40/40/20 split of protein carbs fats respectivly. Im getting in 300+ grams of protein a day. Any ideas guys?

gonna get a more recent pic soon the last one was about 2 months ago.

I was into lifting through out highschool but was never serious about it, the first pic was when I came back from 2 semesters at tech needless to say i didnt take care of myself. Ive always had muscle had to ive worked on a ranch all my life. The progress is from 2 whole semesters of college so i think thats 24 weeks I recin. Ive gained more mass since then, my problem is the weight dosent go up, if anything im getting leaner. Had some bloodwork done about 3 months back since my mom was worried about my cholesterol, and was told my test levels would be abnormal if my estro levels werent where they were at, so maybe thats it. Any ideas my fellow texan?

how many cal's are you eating a day? Go to fitday or a free diet log and see just how many cals your eating. thats the key.

You look stronger bro. I get screwed up looking at pictures of my past transformations because of lighting/skincolor/shitty camera, but if you tan you will be able to see more definition in the mirror (mirror is king to any scale). I will honestly say sometimes I don't give my body enough credit and consider myself to not be nearly as big as I am. Looking into the mirror with your body tan will help you honestly asses yourself and stay confident.

I would add some extra focus to legs/back. Your V-torso is just dieing to come out with your low bf, so try lifting with more technique/less weight on your lats. Really squeeze them together like your trying to break something between them. When your done with a lift go straight to a lat stretch and hold for 30-45 secs. This is a classic technique that many people overlook nowadays.

I think your protein is at a good level for your weight (with no hard gaining supps)... Try experimenting with different kinds of protein - not just weigh, but also casein (my fav), egg, and the many others. Keep up the hard work!

u ever thought of modifying ur actual workouts? Ive done the 5x5 workout and they're more for power and strength than actually gaining....Yeah u can gain with it as i've seen with a lot of people but perhaps you should try training in the 8 to 12 rep range for a bit and see how that works out.....you can definitely see some improvements in ur pics so go ahead and give it a shot, try pyramiding frm 12 down to 6 for 4 sets and see how you respond bro....just my .2 cents

good progress brother

stay focused and determined !! keep those meals big...
remember train smarter not harder. Listen to your body, only you know what it needs.

if you have the time, write down you diet for us and we can see if therea any holes in it
