Well, it took forever and the Lakers totally went into the toilet last season after it didn't happen, but they have finally agreed upon a trade for Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers sent Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart to the Pelicans along with three first round picks, including the 4th overall pick in the upcoming draft.

The Lakers have basically given away all their current and future young talent for a shot to win right now. They really need another star to join this team and the biggest hole seems to be at point guard. The top available choice seems to be Kemba Walker, with Kyrie Irving still being an outside possibility.

The Pelicans on the other hand have really added a lot of young talent to their team. With the #1 and #4 picks in the 2019 draft, they can add Zion Williamson and another top player to join Lonzo, Ingram, and Hart. This team could be very good in a couple years.
