    Default Make Bacteriostatic water

I try to make BW with 10 ml sterile water for injection (medical grade) and 0,09 ml benzyl alcohol.
But the benzyl alcohol won't dissolve in the water...
    I made a mistake?

this is all i found brutha, i think u had the general info down urself though

"All bacteriostatic water is, is sterile water mixed with .9% benzyl alcohol, and some also have .9% sodium chloride (SALT)...

so if you guys want to make bacteriostatic water just mix 100cc sterile water and 1cc benzyl alcohol, and BAM, there's your bact water"

make your own BA at home for 1/100th the price of a store bought one.

You can buy 'sterile water for injection' at any pharmacy/chemist or first-aid supplier and use this on its own or add 0.2% percent BA to it, so if you have 100ml of water, you add 2ml of BA. I make my own bac water with distilled water and BA added to it.

Ty Presser, my water wast to cold, just waiting few minutes, warm the water and that works.
In France you can't found bw, you can only buy water for injection, or water with sodium.

the alcohol helps prevent the buildup of bacteria it does not kill it, if you can get sterile sodium chloride it will work just fine as well.

I use a 100ml graduated cylinder, 99ml distilled water and 1ml benzyl alcohol and filter it with a 22 micron filter.
