injectable carnitine homebrew

hi everyone,

iv been wondering a lot about carnitine injections lately and checked out some online sources that ship to the uk it costs around £50 for 100ml at 200mg/ml now I can buy the pure powder for £10 for 250 grams! so why should I part with £50 of my hard earned money when it should in theory be easy enough to suspend this stuff in water or oil ( id prefer oil) by my self so my plan is to hopefully next weekend attempt a experimental batch of injectable l carnitine I'm struggling to find much info on this so I'm going to pretend I'm making a batch of test and see what happens hopefully nothing bad lol I'm sorry if this is the wrong section as its not a steroid but wasn't sure where best to put this.

if any of you guys have any input or experience on this matter id love to hear it

im interested to hear how you make out, and the exact recipe once you perfect it brutha, so this is the perfect forum
 
I am curious as well.............also curious if you can find a company that will sell powder in a pure form 99.9% ( 3rd party tested). I am assuming that this powder comes from china, which always scared me when we talk purity and also when you start injecting it.

My HRT doc sold injectable L-Carnitine. I tried Acetyl L-Carnitine. NOT TOXIC ! Just pull out pH paper and the 0.9% bact H20 AND 0.9% normal saline WITH added 0.9% sterile BA. Guess what the pH paper was BRIGHT RED ! THAT MEANS IT'S STRONGLY ACIDIC. It would need and alkaline buffer. TThat's it. Granted L-Carnitine was the subject. There is lots of vet supply houses that have it and Cardispan is used by lots of Folks.
PS the acetyl L carnitine BURNED LIKE HELL !
 
I think a lot of people have success just not painless sucess.............it burns like hell............synthetine is expensive but is as "smooth as butter"!

Lol i hear ya. Have my first batch of synthetine on its way. If i like it ive got the problem of expense vs pain then ? :s

Is the pip from the home brew being too acidic as pointed out above?

Would love to read a successful brew recipe protocol l , anybody sharing ?

I'll be doing mine using L carnitine or L Carnitine tartrate. Do not use the acetyl. Distilled water and 0.9 ba. It will probably sting a little but nothing unbearable. Otherwise use 1-2% lidocaine.

I've said it before that I was gonna find the recipe. Haven't had much time lately but as soon as I have more time I'll find it and post it for you guys.

DON'T GIVE ANY MONEY OR ANYTHING FOR RECIPES,ADVICE OR THINGS LIKE THAT!
 
Injectable Carnitine is gaining in popularity in recent months. At least from what i have read and seen online so i am bumping this thread on compounding formula for carnitine injections to see if anyone else has been using it, or has a better formula / recipe

I just tried to do distilled h20 and 1% BA. 20grams of regular l-carnitine. Mixed in powder and h20. Swirled-/shook. Added the BA. Was a little cloudy at this concentration (500mg/ml) and I thought it wasn’t all dissolved. I kept examining it and it did look like it was all in solution (no powder settling at bottom of jar). So I filtered using syringe filter (.22 micron I used) and the final solution looked just like the unfiltered version. Cloudyish/opaque (kinda like fog) I examined filter and it looked like it didn’t filter out the l-carnitine (wasn’t packed full of white crystals or anything other than small pieces of debris.). There is hardly any pip but I don’t know if I have a high tolerance for Pip bc tear prop doesn’t give me much pip. Please comment if this seems like it needs tweaking or is just completely crap lol. Did you ever end up trying it. I made last night and it came out cloudy as well. Distilled water and carnitine mixed fine. But as soon as I added the BA and stir. It went cloudy . Just wondering if it's safe to use
 
Carnitine should be crystal clear. Think about it like this, injectable Carnitor is often given to those on dialysis. It comes as: 1gm/5mL and clear.

Carnitine is VERY hydrophilic... leave it sit on your counter for a day during the summer and it'll become a little mushy in some area's... or just put some in your palm for a few minutes.

It needs to be pH balanced: 6-6.8

Sodium Hydroxide or HCl accordingly. Add the BA before as it will throw off the pH.
