Quick survey, do we think this covid stuff will effect trade with China enough to cause issue to the raw powder supply for us?

Just want to get your guys opinions.

I know if I ask them in China then yes I need to order all the powder I will need for the rest of my life right NOW!
Just what do you guys think would happen if they shutdown direct trade with China as a punitive action associated with this pandemic? I would like to think that the raw suppliers would just send their agents to an intermediary country that they could relay ship through. The issue with that is what country? We are able to get our stuff from China because of the volume of trade coming in, just easier to hide the stuff in a sea of legit shipments. So what would be the possible "relay" countries?

And if this did happen, how long before shit got back to normal? Presuming we don't end up in some sort of armed global conflict in the aftermath of all of this.

So what do you other home brewer's think is going to happen? Should we (I) order everything I might think I could possibly want for the next five years right now?

Correct, the reason we do so much business with China is that it is cheap. This won't change until we find some other 3rd world country to do it 'cheaper'.

Remember when everything was made in Japan, then hong kong , then korea. Who ever is the cheapest, gets the business. Think of all the Dollar stores, with out china they are SOL.

I wont lie i buy a good bit from china, got $1,000 drone for $75 from china, and their electronics are stupid cheap and work like a charm! If we suddenly ceased to trade with china many companies you wouldnt think of would go belly up!
