LGD 4033: Before and After

Ligand Pharmaceuticals developed LGD 4033 or Ligandrol as it is commonly known to help improve muscle mass and bone mineral density in those suffering from certain illnesses.

Usually, Anabolic Steroids would be deployed here, however, those bring about plenty of side effects. Something better had to be developed – and so we got Ligandrol.

Soon afterward, athletes noticed that at higher dosages this compound could help with muscle gains and muscle strength – but is it really that good?

Let’s look at real-world reviews to see what people have experienced firsthand.

Key Takeaways
 • LGD is a SARM that can help you increase lean body mass
 • While not perfect for this job, it can also help you lose fat mass
 • The side effects are relatively few, but there are still some to be aware of
What is LGD 4033? LGD 4033 is classified as a SARM or Selective androgen receptor modulator, meaning it will have anabolic activity in the human body, but to a limited extent compared to Anabolic Steroids.

The tradeoff comes in the form of fewer negative effects. Ligandrol will only bind to the Androgen Receptors in muscle mass and bone tissue (tissue selectivity) meaning that you have far fewer adverse effects compared to Steroids.

LGD is known to help individuals lose body fat, increase lean mass, improve bone mineral density, and just improve overall sports performance. But what are the actual results looking like?

Before and After LGD 4033 Reddit Review ello fellow science experiments,

I recently made the decision to cash in my natty card, and although I didn’t have the means to do bloodworks, I wanted to do as thorough a report as possible given that constraint. The information and experience logs others have posted in this subreddit were a terrific asset when researching PEDs prior to making my decision, so this is my attempt to pay it forward. For those with a short attention span, there’s a summary at the end.
BACKGROUND

28 year old male with approximately 10 years of athletic experience in a wide variety of disciplines. Training gradually transitioned to focus more on strength goals and bodybuilding for the past 3-4 years. I’m a diminutive manlet at 5’7? tall and weighing in at 152lbs pre-cycle. I’ve been roughly stable at this weight for over a year despite all natural attempts to continue increasing size, which leads me to believe this is conditionally my genetic limit for muscle size. Aforementioned conditions are first and foremost that I prefer maintaining a low body fat year round, since ultimately the core of my goal is aesthetics (photo from the end of my last cut in January), as well as the fact that the 6+ years of endurance focused training may have skewed the relative ratios of fiber type toward type 1, limiting my potential for growth somewhat (as far as I understand, this is still unsettled science).
PROTOCOLS

 • Week 1-8: LGD-4033 5MG ED
 • Week 7-10: Tamoxifen 12.5mg ED + Clomid 12.5mg ED
Other substances used:

 • Caffeine: 160mg upon waking
 • Marijuana: Daily as a sleep aid, infrequently for recreational purposes
TRAINING

Continued a high volume PPL program I was running for weeks 1-4. Week 5 I felt what I believe I misinterpreted as CNS burnout but was actually standard LGD induced lethargy (more on this later) and took it as a deload week. Weeks 6-8 I resumed a modified PPL program with moderate volume.
DIET

Reckless. I’m accustomed to micromanaging diet to maintain a low body fat, but because this was my first run with PEDs I didn’t want to risk leaving any gains on the table, so I went all in. I stuck with the same rough pattern of eating, so individual foods were healthy and meals were well balanced, but I ensured I was in a very aggressive calorie surplus. In retrospect I overate more than I should’ve, which resulted in some body fat gain I could’ve avoided.
OVERVIEW

I didn’t feel much until the end of the first week, when I started to notice improvements in my recovery both between sets and between workouts. Early in week 2 it really kicked in hard, and continued improving until around week 4 or 5. At that point the strength gains leveled off and the lethargy set in hard, which more or less remained for the rest of the cycle. This is likely the result of the testosterone suppression one would expect, and quickly improved during PCT. I still continued to see size gains throughout this period, however.
STRENGTH

Increased dramatically and was maintained post cycle. Here are my best sets before/after (I never test 1RM).

 • Bench: 185×5 up to 205×8
 • OHP: 110×5 up to 125×6
 • Squat: 230×5 up to 255×8
 • Row: 175×5 up to 190×8
 • Deadlift: 285×5 up to 315×8
SIZE

I started the cycle at 152lbs, peaked at 165lbs, and now with the water retention lost have settled back around 162lbs. As stated above I did put on some body fat, so I would estimate my actual lean gains to be in the 5-7lb range. Friends and family who were unaware I started using PEDs noticed and commented on my arm size as early as 3 weeks in. Before and after photos here.

MOOD

Felt amazingly good for the first 4-6 weeks until the testosterone suppression started to take its toll. I’m a person with generally muted emotional responses, and while on cycle I felt happier than I have in a long time (although extraneous life events played some role). I can certainly see how people become addicted to PEDs, even if just for the mood effects.
SIDE EFFECTS

 • “LGD Flu” – Didn’t get it.
 • Insomnia – This is a difficult one for me to judge because I’m naturally an insomniac, exacerbated by 3rd shift employment. I didn’t experience any worse than usual difficulty sleeping.
 • Blood pressure – This is also difficult for me to judge because my baseline blood pressure is roughly 135/80. Yes that’s obscenely high, but it’s been the case since I was a child and because I’m in otherwise great health my doctor has never been concerned. Tracked BP throughout the cycle and the highest reading I had was 145/82, which is a slight increase but could also easily be attributed to caffeine or other factors.
 • Body temperature – Definitely increased, likely as a result from the combination of aforementioned overeating and the insulating function of the extra water I was retaining. There were several 40-45F days where I’d only be comfortable in a tank top.
 • Lethargy – During week 5 I felt run down the way you do during serious CNS burnout, so badly that I felt I needed to take it as a deload week. It improved to some degree for the remainder of the cycle, but didn’t actually go away until well into PCT. I believe I misinterpreted the lethargy people commonly experience on LGD when testosterone suppression sets in with CNS burnout, and probably ‘wasted’ that week deloading.
 • Loss of sex drive post cycle – Didn’t experience much of a change. The increased sex drive gradually diminished after week 4 and roughly returned to baseline by the end of the cycle. I noticed no drop directly after cycle, possibly as a result of starting PCT a week in (I’ve seen this proposed as a way to PCT more effectively with SARMs, so thought I’d give it a shot). If you’re accustomed to experiencing a huge loss in libido post cycle, maybe give that a try.
SUMMARY

Overall I’m very happy with the results. Strength went up and stayed up, muscle size was gained and kept, and I felt as good or better than usual throughout. I will certainly be doing a cycle again once I’ve taken the allotted recovery time, and my only major changes next cycle will be to be more conservative with my diet and to push through the lethargy to keep from losing out on any potential gains. Before and after photos are here

for those of you who skipped to the summary. I’m heading to bed shortly, but I’m happy to answer any and all questions as soon as I get the opportunity. Thanks for reading!
Reddit Review Pretty demoralised as I post this as I had a big report all typed out with nice headings, bloods, pct protocol, all lifts and weight fluctuations etc through every detail of my cycle and results, however it was all typed on my phone and when I went to add the pre and post cycle pic links, the whole thing disappeared. Literally 2 hours of typing it all up ?

So I’m just gonna leave the pics here and if you guys want more details or have any questions then I’ll be happy to answer them, prefer to do it this way than type up a huge page of info again ?

I did a rambling daily log which I’ll leave the link here (didn’t quite finish up the last few days):

Reddit Comment 4 weeks into my first ever lgd cycle. Started at 72.6kg. Currently 76.6kg. 5mg until week 4 and now on 10mg. Strength has definitely gone up along with endurance. Soon as I went to 10 the headaches have started. Nothing debilitating but noticeable. Manageable with Panadol and high water intake. I finish my workout and could keep going. +1 for suppression. Kicked in after about a week. Some days are fucked and I’m way more tired in general but just have to push through. I didn’t do my bloods but will next time. Next bulk cycle will be a rad to compare against lgd.
Where to buy LGD 4033 Best Ligandrol on the Market

Sports Technology Labs – LGD 4033Now that you have seen the positive effects that Ligandrol can have on muscle mass you have, you might be wondering where you can purchase it.

Finding a good retailer is key when you are thinking about purchasing any SARM, and Ligandrol is no different.

SARMs of all kinds can be purchased from Sports Technology Labs, as well as Peptides.

Sports Technology Labs themselves test each and every single batch to ensure the quality is kept as high as possible, all at a decent price.

 • Increase in muscle mass and strength
 • Increase in fat loss (potentially)
 • Testosterone suppression
 • Androgenic side effects
Is LGD 4033 Legal? A big concern with any research chemical is the legality of said compound. Luckily, SARMs can be purchased as long as it is being sold with the nomenclature of “not for human use” and “research chemicals”.

LGD 4033 Side Effects
 • Testosterone suppression
 • Androgenic alopecia (hair loss)
 • Dry mouth
 • Increased LDL cholesterol and decreased HDL cholesterol levels
 • Liver toxicity (increase in liver enzymes)
That said, most of these side effects are dose-dependent. Drug-related side effects will also depend on how healthy the individual is and how high a daily dose is.

Conclusion: Is LGD 4033 worth it? If improving your physical performance is something that is important to you, then yes, absolutely. That said, it does have some side effects you might want to pay attention to.

While dose-dependent suppression is true, you will still need to make sure you use post-cycle therapy and take great care of your organs as well. Physical performance is one thing, but overall physical function is way more important.

What are the benefits of LGD 4033? Increased muscle growth, stronger bones (increase bone mineral density), more strength, and a better overall feeling.

Is LGD 4033 a steroid? No, LGD 4033 is known as a SARM. They differ from Steroids in the view that they do not cause the same severe side effects as Steroids do.

Is it worth taking LGD 4033? If you are already eating and training correctly, yes. If not, then it will not be worth it.

How long does it take for LGD 4033 to kick in? It will depend on how much you use and how you dose it, but it will probably take around 10 – 14 days.

What is the strongest SARM to take? YK-11 seems to be the strongest one most people can get their hands on.
