There’s a new nitric oxide supplement that is starting to pop up that can induce ENDOGENOUS formation and increase bioavailability of NO. The supplement is called S7(SPECTRA7) and it’s a plant-based mixture that is designed to mitigate free radical damage/production and other reactive oxygen species(ROS) to increase natural production of NO. S7 was shown in a pilot study to inhibit ROS in mitochondria and cells by 17.7%, as well as inhibit nicotinamide-dinucleotide-phosphate oxidase generation of the the powerful O2 radical by 14.8% and inhibit peroxide formation by 44.5%. These free radicals and ROS can cause damage to your mitochondria and endothelial cells(the ones where NO is released and works). By reducing oxidative stress and antioxidants binding to free radicals, S7 can increase bioavailable concentration of NO by 230%! The studied minimum dose was 50mg and is dose-dependent. It’s an interesting new mechanism for vasodilation instead of the normal citrulline/arginine eNOS pathway. I’m interested to see more research on this antioxidant plant supplement

It’s been a while since I’ve heard for the first time about Nitric Oxide supplements. I was curious about it since the available scientific data showed great results. Also, I loved the fact that it was a plant-based antioxidant, and I was willing to try something new. I bought mine from fitnessclone.com and loved the effects. I’d say it’s an interesting new mechanism for vasodilation instead of the usual arginine or citrulline. For now, I will keep taking it since I don’t see any side effects. I will get back later with more feedback.
