mcimg Training for those over 45

Arimidex, Letrozole, Clomid, Nolvadex, Caborgoline, Dostinex, Post Cycle Therapy

    igf 1 lr3, igf-1, insulin-like growth factor-1,

SARM Rad 140 , testolone, sarm s23, Ligandrol, Andarine, Ostarine, Cardarine
Been working out the majority of my adult life, but I really started to see a change in my mid forties. It took me longer to recover and those little twinges that I use to feel in my shoulders have now become full blown, kick you in the teeth, take no prisoners, Pains. I can no longer go heavy, so I just rep as much as possible.

I am on HRT and that has helped a lot, but I have also had to make huge adjustments in my nutrition and what supplements I can and cannot take. Being a type 2 diabetic, I reviewed my bloodwork with my doc and for some reason I have a history of increased potasiuum levels and decreased levels in sodium. She thought that since I drink on water, I am washing out my sodium. I drink one soda daily and have now cut out all of my cramping and my sodium levels are in the normal range. Doc doesn't want me taking any creatine, nothing that will boost my NO, and no electrolytes due to the potasiuum. So I am doing research on Pre Workouts to see which one will be the best for me.

Getting older sucks, but I am going to keep fighting and kicking. If anyone has any ideas as to a good pre workout with no creatine, no NO expanders let me know. Thinking about going back to old school C4.

DMSO is a God send for us that struggle with ache and pains. I use it daily!!

I think your doc is an idiot, why no creatine and no electrolytes due to postasium..........what????

Best pre workout is good old EC, ( I am sure your doc would not approve) peptopro and highly cyclic branched dextrin ( glycofuse). I take 25g of peptopro and 25g of glycofuse ( HCBD) pre work out and another intra ( during) your workout.

My potassium has been so high in the past, that I was on the verge of a heart attack. That is why the docs are wanting to keep a close eye on it. I have used DMSO and love it. Just have to be careful as it will burn the skin. I have never heard of peptopro and highly cyclic branched dextrin.

I don't think the stuff ever goes old. It does lose potency and will reduce the burning sensation!!

So last night, I was training with some powerlifters. They had to me change the way that I gripped the bar. Now I have been gripping the bar the same way for the last 20 years due to shoulder issues but what the hell, I will try something new. Got about 6 reps and my shoulder gave out. Now today my right wrist and shoulder have been throbbing all day. Hello Mr Ice, nice to see you again old friend. Guess I will wrap up the wrist and hit back today. Never give up, never surrender!!

Getting older by the day, so I am right there with you. I have found that my body does not like heavy weights anymore.............word to the young guys out there is go heavy (be smart about it, bad form will catch up with you) as long as you can.

you sure got that right, boys. actually it wasn't the getting old part that was the problem for me, it's all the crap that came with it. at 58, i've slowed down considerably and have a myriad list of ailments. degenerative disc, (i figure joints as well) are a major problem as well as other problems. a regular laundry list, lol. i started lifting and working out since i was about 15. didn't get into it a lot til last year of service, then pretty regular. so about 38 years. never did steroids, but now i have low-t and adrenal insufficiency, doc won't put me on trt or adrenal support. i still push myself as well as work around the house. my wife usually has to say something about me pushing myself to hard knowing full well i will pay for it after, sometimes for days on end. i still try to get two full body workouts in a week, though the last couple of weeks, i've been trying more per week, working each muscle group just once a week, which is a real change for me, and at my age i need to really watch it. i eat right most of the time, but of course there are those treats we all give ourselves from time to time.
needless to say the payment for injuries, exposures, and various other elements of discomfort has come due to us in our older years. but, hey we've still got a lot to offer, and hopefully we've become wiser about a lot of things, instead of thinking we know everything like the snot nose kids we used to be, lol.

I have been on HRT for several years and if your doc will not prescribe it for you, I would go to another doc. It has been unreal for me. My levels were so low that by 1pm I was done. Couldn't think, no energy just shot. If you can find a doc that lifts and understands what you are actually going through it helps.

I hit the gym about 5 days per week, but only go heavy every once in a while. It just hurts the old joints to much. Big difference in pain and hurting. I will do high reps and lots of sets and get a unreal pump. I am wanting to try the igf- lr3 that is talked about on the forum. Everyone gives it high marks and the healing properties are unreal.

Keep hitting it hard and lifting safe!!

it would be nice to go to another doctor, problem is mine is a va doc, and going to one in the world is a bit cost prohibitive for me. as it stands now, i requested to see an endocrinologist too months ago, for which my primary did more test only to show i had even lower t than a month before. my acth was low as well. you'd think that with a test level of 200,the doc would be a little more receptive of giving hrt. instead, he runs a free test, understandably, which is just in the normal range. then two, the levels they consider are subjective from doctor to doctor to some degree, because to this one, he doesn't consider it below normal unless it's less then 300. i think 300 is too low for my age and is more that of someone who is 80. he also associates my symptoms largely with service connected disabilities. thus, i am left to resort to looking into alternatives which are cost effective as well as researched by myself. therefore, here i am. this site has offered more info for me about steroids/testosterone, hrt, pct, ai and various other aspects in my search for answers as to how to go about helping myself than most other sites.
it's obvious most of the medical community is stigmatized by the use of hrt for the
most part. i have had considerable time to evaluate this and have worked in the medical field as well. so i am not just jumping in with both feet without considering what lies below.

It has been used for years by BB as a solvant ( transdermal- allows things to go through the skin that normally can't) and also for pain.

I have been using DMSO for years. I go to my local Tractor Supply store and pick it up. If you can get the gel version, I think it is the best. Just use a little as it is strong and can cause you to itch. It will also take out swelling.

I'm on my 35th yr of training and gotta say I still love the free weights over just abt any machine, hands down. I do admit that Smith Machine has a place in my routine albeit small part. Being injured over the yrs, have relied on it to go heavy on lifts where normally I wouldnt. Never thought I'd say that...

My local competitor, the YM just got done spending big bucks on LifeFitness Insignia line....sure it looks pretty and makes the user feel good, yada yada......but the results cant even begin to compare w free weights. These new machine that advertises "fun, easy & comfortable" are fucked. Like going to a NFL game and watching touch football, no no no

lmao, that's pretty good. I'm a free weighter as well, but then I a work out at home guy, too. I'm sure machines have there place, but due to my peculiar condition I can not go to a gym. that's okay though, I'm pretty self motivated and since I'm older, I really do not need to be trying to hit it as heavy as some of these young guys and gals. liable to go home hurt and not be back for a couple of weeks. lol.
that dmso sounds a like it might be promising, but for now I have lidocaine cream I use for aches. I try to keep it's use limited to when pain is high in a particular place. works great to numb a joint up when pain is excruciating, especially knees and lumbar/sacrum areas. I also use low dose codeine if I know i'm going to be doing something that will create more pain for me later in the day, like working on building a shed or just a long road trip.

Let those young bucks throw around that big ass weight, I still have to get up and go to work every morning. I do a little of everything these days regarding machines and free weights. We have hammer strength machines and few other pieces at our gym. If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of this old body. I have been ripped and torn way to many times and then 10 years ago I had to have back surgery. My specialist has told me to work on walking as my back and knees are shot. L4, L6 and S1 are all fused now and I do not bend, and I have almost no cartilage in my knees. So cold weather is a pain. But, I am still in the gym 5 to 6 days a week and give it all I have. Never give up, never surrender!!!

I took yoga classes for a couple years til they got cancelled and it helped me a lot with flexibility and support muscles. I go higher reps and lower weight now too. I also do less running and more on the cardio machines due to the pounding on the knees.

if you work labor jobs, your body is going to take a pounding through the years. that just the way it is. although in recent years they've come up with some inventive ways to reduce the hard labor of many jobs, but they still use jack-hammers, tie steel, and sling all sorts of stuff. all of it takes its toll on us that those who sit behind desks will never understand. gov huckabee understands it though.
even taking care of yourself won't guarantee a body that's not racked up when you're older. never count on dying young. God's funny about keeping some of us alive longer than we anticipate. lol

Has anyone else noticed that you need extra time to rest? I still train 5 days a week, but the soreness is unreal. Since I have started getting gua sha treatments it is not as bad, but have mercy.

Yes, I find I need extra time to rest. In reading your original post, you sound almost like a copy of me. I'm 47, and I've been on HRT for 17 years. I get so sore in a workout now that I sometimes have to rest and recover for a couple of days before going back to the gym, although I think some of the soreness is due to training better for my body. I'm not type 2 diabetic, but I have hypoglycemia, a precursor to diabetes.

I don't understand why your doc would want you off of creatine or NO2 products. They shouldn't have any effect on potassium or sodium levels. The electrolytes I can understand since that would have potassium in it.

I went off for a while but ended up finishing the bottle of creatine and now use C4 as my pre workout. I think the doctors know so little about nutrition and our supplements that they just shoot everything down so not to be held responsible.

I still take my BCAA and they seem to help with the soreness, but I hit back on Monday and my shit is still hurting. I didn't even do rack pulls. Tonight is arms so lets see how that goes. LOL Tendinitis in both elbows. Bring on the dmso.

I have found that 5g of glutamine daily helps tremendously with muscle soreness. It seems to be cumulative, so after a few days taking it the reduced soreness is quite evidemt.

And I'm right there with you and BigZ, I'll be 47 in a few weeks

Also well over 50 here. The last 3 years arthritis has just eaten into my shoulder joint.
To the point the doc wants to saw it off and replace. I'm still at the Oh hell no stage.
I train anyway I can to keep pumping blood into that shoulder muscle group. I can pull, push.
Nothing over head. The arm wont go over head. I have been using Veterinary Liniment Gel
all over the should a few times a day. Gives some relief. The product is for Horses joints.

I read this line on the packaging. "Arthritis , A common condition in older horses, Absortine Gel helps to loosen stiff, arthritic joints and reduce swelling" SOLD I"LL take a case please.

I have learned as we age we can train smart. We can training around areas that bothers . Just keep training.
Otherwise doing nothing will sure be our demise.

Good luck to you all fighting the aging process. We still stand out in a crowd of 30 year olds.

    Chemist adding his $0.02 here.....
In a sealed bottle, uncontaminated DMSO shouldn't change at all, really, on the chemical side. What *might* happen, though, especially if it was in use a lot before it was stored, is that it will *dilute* just a bit from absorbed water vapour, which will, in fact, reduce the burning sensation (which is basically water and skin oils being dissolved *out* of the skin and into the dmso, which pulls them through into the body. It's not significantly weaker, just a little less harsh on the skin :P

That sounds corrects as I have noticed that the older my DMSO is, the less it burns. I have heard that if you put some type of muscle rub on first and then DMSO it will really get into the muscle. What is your .02?

Well, absolutely...that's what DMSO *does*. It has both polar and non-polar ends...so basically it can dissolve almost anything...and be dissolved *by* anything, and move through membranes almost as if they aren't there. That's why you have to *wash* the area you are applying to, because it will take whatever crap is on your skin, dissolve some of it, and haul it through....

I have a pharmacy that uses DMSO as a base for all it compounding agents. It is no joke as a potent transdermal. Therfore the problem can happen when you apply DMSO then other compounds that aren't meant to cross through the skin ( sunscreen, lotions, etc....).

Training has been going well except for my right shoulder. Going to have to KT Tape it up and push through the pain. Been doing several different treatments including stim and Ga Shau / Fascial release. Just have to play this one by ear.

If you can find a chiropractor who doe Active Release Techniques ("A.R.T." has a website with a provider locater) you may want to try that. I've had very good results from A.R.T. specifically with my shoulders. I know two ART chiropractors who routinely work on UFC fighters as well as pro bodybuilders.

I have no connection with A.R.T. and am certainty not a chiropractor; it's just something that works well for me and others I know.

I have added MC IGF-1r3 to my training and I have to say that it is a game changer. The pumps are unreal and I have notices that my right shoulder is doing much better. I am rehabbing it now and still seeing results. I have been in the game a long time and tore myself up, but now I am feeling much better overall.

Hit 54 the only thing i feel different from 44 is recovery time and those heavy lifts dont happen anymore, was predominantly a cross Power lifter and BB but the joints ache like crazy after heavy session so no reps under 10 anymore for me.Ice and heat are my best new friends.

Welcome to MuscleChemistry.com Mick. It happens to the best of us. Have you ever tried DMSO for your joint and muscle pain LR3 IGF-1 is also something I use that helps with recovery. Either way welcome

Welcome brother and I do agree with Iron. I use dmso and IGF-Lr3 and have seen improvements.

I have been using MC IGF-Lr3 for a couple of months now and the difference has been amazing. I know you read that a lot on here. But it is the real deal, awesome pumps, old injuries start to feel better and I just feel better all over. I have also changed my training schedule as I work out on Sunday, Mon, Wed and Thur. The days off have really made a difference. Keep rocking in the real world my Brotherhood of Iron!!

Ya know I had asked a while back about the proper usage of DMSO as I have the spray, I was using on bad elbows, with apologies to whoever already instructed me, but should I spray them twice a day, am & pm and maybe use a cotton ball and rub in in?? Would DMSO help with nerve regeneration?

I have never used the spray but DMSO is non toxic I use it as much as possible on injuries. At least morning, noon, and evening. Well truth be told as much as my wife can handle the garlic smell, lol. I use a cotton ball because mine is an open bottle. With a spray I would just spray and let dry.

I have the gel and I can put about a quarter size on my elbow and shoulders and feel it working in just a few minutes. It will itch's like a sum bitch, and then the garlic taste is on. I have never used the spray before.
